OS beeps when second monitor is not plugged

Hi,

I have a G43 chipset on a ASUS motherboard. My regular monitor plugged on DVI cable just works fine.

My problem is that I have also a second monitor that I sometimes plugged on VGA cable.

So to sum up, the VGA cable is always plugged on computer-side, but rarely plugged on monitor-side.

And it leads to a regular annoying beep (sound of an USB connection + deconnection) that I really would like to get rid of (but I don't want to unplug the VGA from the computer).

Any help will really be welcome.
