PUBG crashes while playing

I use Arc A580 8GB and i5 14400f. When playing PUBG with the latest version of the 8861 graphics card driver, it crashes. The game's notification when crashing is generally that the graphics card driver version was faulty, so please update to the latest version. Sorry for not being able to provide the images about that phenomenon because I forgot. But I assure you that it really is. Thank you for reading, hopefully Intel will fix this error soon.

Hello doducdo,

Thank you for raising this concern via the Intel Community.

I understand that PUBG crashes while using your Intel® Arc™ A580 with graphics driver 32.0.101.8861, and that the game reports a graphics driver-related error.

To help us investigate further, could you please provide the following information?

  1. Does PUBG crash every time you play, or only occasionally?
  2. When the crash occurs, does PUBG close to the desktop, freeze, or does the entire system become unresponsive?
  3. Are you using DirectX 11, DirectX 11 Enhanced, or DirectX 12 in PUBG?
  4. Did the issue start specifically after installing driver 32.0.101.8861, or did it also occur with an earlier driver version?
  5. Have you tested a different Intel graphics driver version? If so, does PUBG still crash?
  6. Have you performed a clean graphics driver installation using DDU before installing driver 32.0.101.8861?
  7. Have you tried installing the latest graphics driver 32.0.101.8864 via clean installation (DDU)?
  8. What troubleshooting steps have you already performed?

Additionally, to better understand your system's configuration, I kindly request that you download the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* software.

You can find the download link here:

  1. Download and launch SSU.exe.
  2. Check the box for “Everything,” then uncheck Networking for your privacy.
  3. Click "Scan."
  4. When the scanning is complete, click "Next."
  5. Click "Save."
  6. Please send the saved file to us.

This information will greatly assist us in diagnosing and addressing the specific concerns with your system. If you encounter any challenges during this process or have additional questions, please don't hesitate to let us know.

Thank you, and I look forward to your response so we can continue investigating the issue.

Best regards,

Christian Louierico A.

PUBG crashes while playing if I have other windows open, such as browsing the web. When this happens, the game crashes, my screen freezes, and my mouse becomes laggy sometimes the cursor appears, sometimes it doesn’t. If I play PUBG without using other windows, it is generally stable, but occasionally it still crashes. In both cases, the error message points to the graphics driver. I am using the DirectX 12 setting because DirectX 11 and DirectX 11 Enhanced do not provide stable FPS. I have tried installing different driver versions from 8861 down to 8824, but the issue persists. It seems that this problem started after PUBG’s update in July. This only happens with PUBG; other games such as F1 25, Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, and CS2 run smoothly with drivers from version 8824 onward. I have also tried clean installations using DDU and reinstalled drivers from newer to older versions, but PUBG still crashes. Currently, I am using version 8860 for better stability, but the issue still occurs. I have also sent a screenshot showing the crash happening while watching YouTube and playing PUBG.
