I've recently tried to update my graphics drivers with the help of the Intel Driver Update Utility and it recommended me this driver: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2991&DwnldID=20188&ProductFamily=Chipsets&ProductLine=Laptop+Chipsets&ProductProduct=Mobile+Intel%c2%ae+4+Series+Express+Chipset+Family&lang=eng http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2991&DwnldID=20188&ProductFamily=Chipsets&ProductLine=Laptop+Chipsets&ProductProduct=Mobile+Intel%c2%ae+4+Series+Express+Chipset+Family&lang=eng for my Mobile Intel(R) 4 series Express Chipset Family
However, whenever i try to download the driver, after a certain point, it gives me this message:
An error occurred while registering one or more components
Setup will exit
Anyone have any clue why this keeps happen?

Hello,
Try using the driver posted on this URL:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=20189&ProdId=2991&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%207%2C%2032-bit*&DownloadType= http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=20189&ProdId=2991&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%207%2C%2032-bit*&DownloadType=
Before trying to load that driver, uninstall the one that you have currently installed and follow the instructions on this article:

I had the same problem and have tried installing in safe mode and from the zip file and nothing is working. It says either "The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request" or "An error occurred while registering one or more components. Setup will exit." Is there anything I can do?

Hello,
Try using the same have disk method using a previous version posted here;
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=19937&ProdId=2991&lang=eng http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=19937&ProdId=2991&lang=eng
If the issue continues, then this would indicate an isolated issue with your operating system, either another application is blocking the installation or the registry of the operating system is compromised. A fresh install may be required.
