I have a Lenovo Ideapad U330 and it has a http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/intelgm45 Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family Graphic chipset.
The problem is,when I update the chipset driver to a newer one than the pre-installed (from 7.15.0010.1576 to any newer one),my LCD brightness doesn't change and it locks at the most bright condition, and that's shortens the battery life...
Thanks for your attention.

Try the latest graphics drivers on the Intel site
http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/detect.htm
If no help, I recommend checking with your computer manufacturer for your customized drivers for your computer model

I've tried the latest version of the driver and it did'nt work properly...I don't see the problem in manufacterer softwares, because when I re-install the older (pre-installed) version of the driver,it works properly, without re-installing the power management softwares...
thnx.
