Recommended screen resolution makes screen too large for the monitor. How do I fix this?

I have recently purchased two Pavilion 23xw screens for my laptop docking station. Both of the screens are set to the same screen resolution settings however, the screen on only one of my monitors extends beyond the monitor (example, I can't see my clock in the task bar or see the "x" to window screens). I am running windows 7 and have an Intel HD Graphics Control Panel. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Hello hberning,

Thank you for joining the Intel Communities.

In order to help you better I would like to gather more information about the configuration you have in the computer. Please attach to this thread the .txt file the Intel® System Support Utility will generate https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility

What is the model number of the docking station you are using?

Let me also know the type of video cables you are using in both monitors.

To attach a file, you must click "Use Advanced Editor" on the upper right hand corner of the response box, then the "attach" option will appear on the bottom right hand corner of the response box.

Regards,
