I've got a few identical systems--Dell Inspiron 580 models with XP SP3 installed. These use Core i3 CPUs and rely on the CPU's integrated graphics for video output. I've got the latest video drivers installed.
Every time the machines enter power saving, specifically when the monitors are turned off automatically following an extended period of disuse, the screen resolution resets to 800x600 until either the operator sets the resolution again manually or restarts the computer. Either way it goes back to what it was set to before. Neither is really acceptable as a long-term solution, however, which is why I'm here. I'm hoping someone might be able to shed some light on how to fix this.
Thanks
