to date, current 1.2 version of XeSS still lacks a few features,
that imho would speed up it's level of acceptance and ncrease implementation rate in games, among developers & players as well.
And while there is still no news update regarding what you might have been working on, or what we might see in the future, here's what I've been missing so far:
* enable (native) Vulkan support for XeSS :
iirc, XeSS unfortunately only runs on DX12. so there's a smaller chance developers will choose XeSS for their projects, especially if there's Vulkan API path involved, or multi platform game develompment in mind (eg. for linux, nintendo switch, or android as well and not only windows PC)
* maybe you'll find a way to make it work even for DX11,
* and maybe have an option to even enable some sort of 'global XeSS' via driver, for games that don't have it implemented 'natively'.
* more ingame user control over certain variables/values & features of XeSS would be nice,
other than just picking a preset. I'd love being able to turn on/of certain "features" of XeSS, independently from the main "preset" value and base render resolution it will use for upscaling..
(like the mip bias & auto exposure / responsive mask settings in the XeSS demo)
* a XeSS frame generation feature similar to the one DLSS has, or FSR3 will have soon, too.
