The graphics driver 101.6874 cannot check for updates

In recent versions of the graphics card, there have been bugs in the driver. Since installing "32.0.101.6790 WHQL Certified", the graphics card software has always prompted "Driver updates are not available, Intel drivers and support assistants need to be installed". However, the fact is that the graphics card driver itself has already installed the assistant program. Manually clicking on the assistant program prompts "You must install or update. NET to run this application." But the graphics card driver itself is still installed NET8.0.14 program. I thought there was a problem with this version, but after replacing it with "32.0.101.6874 WHQLCertified", the problem still persists.
I tried to manually download and install it NET8.0 x86 and x64 versions, the problem still persists. There is a bug in the driver program.
I use the WIN11 x64 24H2 operating system, and all graphics card drivers have been newly installed, while also using the WHQL Certified version.

The driver cannot check for updates

Hi Leafer,

Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum. To assist us in investigating the issue, please provide the following details:

  • When did the issue start? Was it after a specific update?
  • Have you used DDU to completely remove all residual drivers and installed a new one?
  • Are there any pending updates like windows?

Additionally, to gain a comprehensive understanding of your system, please use the System Support Utility (SSU). This tool will generate a text file compiling all your system information. You can follow the instructions at this link and send the text file here. Help Guide for the Intel® System Support Utility.

If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you.

Hi ArchieD,

Thank you for your attention.

· This issue is starting from version 32.0.101.6790. In order to provide a better video display user experience, I regularly update the Intel graphics card driver, which is only available in the WHQL version.

· I have never used DDU, and for at least the past two years, the installation process for every version of Intel graphics card drivers has been smooth. Of course, I have been using the new installation mode.

· Windows 11 24H2 version uses official automatic patch updates, but does not include any driver updates. I have disabled the Windows update driver feature because it can cause outdated driver versions or version issues.

Thank you for your help in confirming the issue. There is no problem with the new version of the graphics card driver, but it is a problem with the “Intel Driver & Support Assistant” component, which makes it impossible to detect updates. The recent version of the “Intel Driver & Support Assistant” can only call x86 net8.0 and does not support X64 net8.0, resulting in the inability to detect driver updates. However, the old version of the “Intel Driver & Support Assistant”does not have this issue and directly recognizes X64 net8.0.

I hope developers can address the recent“Intel Driver & Support Assistant” version issue.
