Hello
I use a Philips 27B1U7903 monitor that supports 10-bit color depth and SDR/HDR, with Intel UHD 630 graphics on the PC, and use a DP 1.4 connection. The set is for photo editing, which is why I need 10-bit SDR. 8-bit SDR is insufficient for my purposes.
Bottom line, I need to set in Windows 11: 4K resolution, 10 bit color depth, 60 Hz, SDR mode. How can I switch to that configuration?
The monitor is brand new and it seems the problem is on the Intel graphics side. The Windows settings provide either 8-bit SDR or 10-bit HDR. This tells me the set is able to display 10-bit color depth in 4k, 60 Hz. However, it does that only in HDR mode, but does not pick up 10-bit in SDR mode.
In the Intel Graphics Command Center, 8 or 12-bit can be selected, but only with the HDMI, not DP. 10-bit is not available in the drop down menu. 12 bit HDMI is useless because it reduces max resolution to an ugly looking 2K. Moreover, HDMI only works on 30 Hz.
Any help how to switch to the needed configuration (4K, 10-bit, 60 Hz, SDR) will be appreciated!
Hope I don't have to buy a new PC just because Intel has not updated its drivers to support 10-bit SDR.
Thanks for your support!

Please run the Intel System Support Utility for Windows and perform a scan for all options. Attach the output file here.
Please also create a Report for Intel Graphics Drivers and attach the file here.

For the Philips 27B1U7903 the manufacturer states:
- 2 x HDMI 2.0
- 1 x DisplayPort 1.4
Display Colors: 8 bits + Frame Rate Control
Maximum resolution: 3840 × 2160 @ 60Hz via DisplayPort. The video timing is specified according to VESA CVT-RB. Please note that HDMI 2.0 supports a maximum of 4K @ 60 Hz 8-bit as this requires the maximum bandwidth of 18 Gbps (TMDS CTA-861).
4K @ 60 Hz 10-bit equals 20 Gbps. To do this you have to connect the computer via DisplayPort. However, the UHD630 does not support manual changing of the color depth via DisplayPort.
You'll probably need to upgrade to a cheap Nvidia card for photo editing at 4K @ 60 Hz RGB 10-bit SDR. You can then set everything manually in the Nvidia Control Panel.
