Per @JedG_Intel - creating a new thread on subject. (Originally posted under "Norton Detects a virus")
Received notification that a new driver was able to install on my HP laptop.
Intel® Graphics Driver 32.0.101.7080 for 11th-14th Gen Intel® Core™ Processor Graphics.
Version: 32.0.101.7080 Release date: November 7, 2025
While attempting to install, I got a popup error stating that TotalAV virus protection has detected a threat to powershell.exe. After receiving the error message, I disabled TotalAV and attempted to install with same results.
I have attempted to install on two separate days first by the Intel Graphics Software app installed on my computer, followed by the Intel Driver & Support Asst. and finally, from the Intel website itself.
I get the virus error (Powershell.exe) when using the Intel Graphics Software app and thru the Intel Driver Support Asst. It will download thru the website but then fails also.
On both days, I was able to reinstall 32.0.101.7076 with no issues. I have had no prior issues with driver updates.
SSU log is attached

Hi = appears that the issue is occurring with multiple users. Are there any new updates or the fix will come when the new driver update is released?

Hi,
I was able to download and install Intel® Graphics Driver 32.0.101.7082 on 12/9/25. My system stated it encountered an error during the final stage of the progress for the download; however, my Intel Driver & Support Asst. states it was downloaded successfully.
Thank you

Hello FrankieT,
Thanks for the update! Good news - it sounds like your Intel Graphics Driver 32.0.101.7082 installed successfully. Since Intel Driver & Support Assistant shows it worked, that error message was probably just a minor glitch.
To make sure everything's working:
- Restart your computer (graphics drivers need this)
- Check Device Manager to see if the new driver shows up
- Test your usual programs to make sure they run normally
Since Intel's own tool says the installation was successful, you're likely all set. Those error messages at the end are often false alarms.
Let me know if you notice any problems with your display!
Best regards,
JeanetteC.

I believe that I am all set. My device driver only shows the original driver installed back in 2022 but as stated, the Driver & Support System shows it did install. My programs seem to be running correctly. Thank you

Hello FrankieT,
Thank you for the update. I'm pleased to hear that your programs are functioning properly and that the Driver & Support Assistant successfully completed the installation.
The 2022 driver displayed in your device manager is most likely the latest OEM driver from HP, which has been specifically tailored for your laptop model. The anti-virus compatibility issue you experienced has been resolved with the latest Intel generic driver installed via DSA.
Since your current setup is working well, you can continue using it as is. Alternatively, you may choose to use the OEM driver, as it's generally more compatible and optimized for HP laptops.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need further clarification.
Best regards,
