I've performed a system restore fairly recently, and this seems to have uninstalled my intel graphics driver. Every time I attempt to reinstall with the software downloaded from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3712&DwnldID=23639&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Laptop+graphics+drivers&ProductProduct=3rd+Generation+Intel%C2%AE+Core%E2%84%A2+Processors+with+Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics+4000&lang=eng Download Center, it gives the error "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installation of the software". However, I currently have a Dell XPS with an i7- 3770 (running windows 8.1). When I looked online, it lists the processor as having intel HD graphics 4000. I've checked my device manager it it doesn't actually show the driver listed under display adapters either (it my other nvidia card that's responsible for another port). Are there any solutions for this?

Thanks for joining the community.
I am sorry to hear that have had problems updating Intel Graphics Drivers.
That message indicates that your computer manufacturer does not allow the installation of generic Intel video drives. You are required to install drivers from your computer manufacturer, however, you may try forcing the installation of Intel generic drivers by performing manual procedure, see here for instructions:

Select your operating system version version and download the zip version of the video driver:

Thanks Allan,
I actually did try to install it manually before. However, I couldn't actually do as such for the simple reason that there was no Intel Graphics entry under the display adapters section. I also tried that Dell has on its site, and it had the same problem as the generic intel video driver. On the brighter side, the driver seems to have magically decided to work again after several restarts. Thanks for the help though!
