I have a pc with intel core i5 1135g7 with integrated intel iris xe graphics card. The driver installed is the version of April 29, 2022 27.20.100.9565
I can't update the driver either through windows update or by downloading the latest version installation package from the intel site. How can I update the driver?

I also installed intel driver & support assistant which does not detect the graphics driver update

Thanks

Your mobile processor would seem to imply that you have a laptop. The update of the iGFX driver may be blocked because the laptop manufacturer has customized the driver package to support special features (hotkeys, etc.) of this laptop. Installing the Intel generic driver package will wipe out these customizations, removing these features, and could possibly cause unstable operation.

If you are absolutely sure that you want to try a later driver anyway, there is a process for doing so:

  1. Download onto the system - but do not attempt to install just yet - the latest driver driver package/executable from the Intel site. Here is link to download page: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19344
  2. Disconnect the system from the Internet. Unplug Ethernet cable and/or disable Wireless. Note: if using Wireless, it should be disabled in such a way that reboots can occur without it automatically re-enabling.
  3. In the Apps and Features applet, check to see if there is an Intel Graphics entry. If not, skip to Step 6.
  4. Click on the Intel Graphics entry and select Uninstall.
  5. If it doesn't happen automatically, reboot the system, keeping Internet access disconnected.
  6. From Device Manager, check if there is an entry for an Intel Graphics adapter. If you see only the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, skip to Step 9.
  7. Right-click on the entry for the Intel Graphics adapter and select Uninstall Device. Checkmark Delete the driver software for this device and then click on the Uninstall button.
  8. Go back to step 5.
  9. Install the new driver package that you downloaded in Step 1.
  10. Reboot the system.
  11. Reconnect Internet access.
  12. Test.

Hope this helps,
