vulkan fatal error fragmentation see zip for attached log program causing the fault is RSPC3 

 

GPU in question is a A770 16G driver version 32.0.101.8629

  • Any recent hardware changes?
  • What game were you trying to play when the error occurred?
  • Does the error occur at the same point in games consistently?
  • Did this issue start after a specific driver update?


Additionally, to gain a comprehensive understanding of your system, please use the System Support Utility (SSU). This tool will generate a text file compiling all your system information. hi,

the game in question is gran turismo 5 within RSPC3 using vulkan

the error is inconsistent it can trigger 30 seconds in other times ive ran 3 hours without a fault

i only recently reinstalled the game in question and after getting everything compiled i started getting VK_ERROR_FRAGMENTATION when using vulkan as the render as aposed to OGL

ok just hit a fault in gran turismo 6 too looks to be the same fault will attach logs below but this is the end line 

 

SIG: Thread terminated due to fatal error: Assertion Failed! Vulkan API call failed with unrecoverable error: Descriptor pool creation failed (VK_ERROR_FRAGMENTATION)

you will have to excuse the log being 124MB uncompressed but this run has been holding for a quite a while before 

 

actual vram usage on the gpu at point of error was 11/16GB exact

Clean Installation of Intel® Graphics Drivers in Windows*


I highly recommend using the DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) method to ensure a complete removal of existing drivers before reinstalling the latest version.

hi, ive ran ddu and reinstalled the drivers in safe mode to version 32.0.101.8250. issue is still present and ive got 3 logs as i tried a few diffrent settings but had the same result.

windows has also updated to 25H2 build ver 26220.8271

Thank you for your patience. Upon further checking, RPCS3 is a free, open-source PlayStation 3 emulator and debugger that allows users to run PS3 games on modern PCs, as well as macOS, Linux, and FreeBSD systems.


With that in mind, I would like to clarify a few details are you using the emulator as a user, or are you involved as a developer? This information will help us better understand and address your concern.

end user, i just own gran turismo 5/6 and am still waiting for sony to do a pc native release  though that error seems present on most things ive ran on it while using vulkan as the render

As RPCS3 is an emulator, we highly advise you to seek assistance directly from the developers, as the issue you are experiencing requires their specific attention.


We understand this may not be the resolution you were expecting; however, this falls outside the scope of our support.
