Video setting problem

I am using a tablet PC with HD graphics 3000 operating in Win 7. I need to set up the Tablet to operate with an external monitor when docked and to turn off the display on the tablet. I set up the tablet for mutiple displays and with the "Show desktop only on 2 setting" and apply this setting. This appears to work correctly but at various times the setting gets dropped and reverts to the "Duplicate these display" setting. What causes this change of settings and how can it be resolved.

Does changing the display effect this setting change?

Hello,

In this case you should try testing the system using a direct connection between the Tablet PC and the external monitor connected and do not test using a dock station. Also test using the latest generic driver on our site, available here:

If the issue persists, try using the cusotmized driver provided by your computer manufacturer.

Keep in mind that the generic driver on our site may not be optimized to work using a docked connection since these are options that are implemented by each Original Equipment Manufacturer, in which case they validate their drivers to support such customization. Therefore, you may experience that kind of behavior when using our generic driver
