Why does the Intel Driver Utility display a different version for HD4600 on a Win 7 (x64) Intel 4770K machine.

Currently Windows (Programs & Features) is showing version 10.18.14.4264, while the Intel Driver Update Utility is reporting 15.36.24.64.4264 for a HD4600 iGPU on a 4770K machine running Win 7 Ultimate (x64). Why the difference is version numbers? It's quite confusing to update with one version number and yet Windows is reporting a different version. Is this a problem with Intel reporting to Windows, and how can this problem be rectified?
