Hello this is my first post on the Intel Support Community Forum so I hope I am posting in the correct place and I am proving the needed information in the below post I am making thank you for any help in advance.

My problem is this I am on Windows 7 (currently between RC build and above but all builds seem to be the same) and when I run any game they appear not to run using the full resolution of my screen. Now into the details basically the computer is dual booted with Vista and the problem does not happen on Vista. On windows 7 my full resolution on the desktop is used on any driver I have used but if I use the latest driver from windows update (the Prerelease WDDM 1.1) or the one that is pre installed with windows 7 the problem happens. However I have noted that if I use an older driver 7.15.10.1688 the problem is fixed but the driver stops responding and recovers automatically. Also if I go into the advanced display settings and click the Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Mobile tab it (the tab itself) seems to flicker like hell however its the gaming problem that I am most concerned about. Oh and my laptop is the Acer Aspire 5735z and I am running 64 bit windows 7 ulitmate 7100 (above the RC) (don't know if its a 64bit problem only). Oh and the 7.15.10.1688 I mentioned is the Windows Vista 64 bit driver for my laptop from the Acer website think.

Hi there,

As far as I know, Intel will start to provide drivers for some series of motherboards when Windows 7 is officially released next year.

Currently, Windows 7 installation/set up has most of the required drivers built in the OS setup. If you are having any driver problem for a specific device, then you can try the vista driver version for the device, but this may not always work.

Since this current Windows 7 is only the release candidate and still under testing, I dont think intel will issue any drivers for windows 7 yet. If anybody else know more about this, they can let us know.

Cheers.

Hi do you work for intel if so you should know the offical release date for windows 7 is the 22 of oct this year.

So since my vista driver works for the most part it will prob just have a minor update on release will the drivers be put into the RMT or on windows update for release day?
