Windows 8 Higher CPU Temperature

In Windows 8 using the latest intel drivers, on my i7 2670qm i am noticing an increase of 5-6C in idle temperatures from Windows 7, making my laptop run hotter and the fans running constantly almost. Any fix for this issue?

A lot of users over at the HP forums are also reporting an increase in temperature using Windows 8 with the intel graphics. Is this a driver issue?
