Hi all,
we are using a couple of DELL machines (>10) with Autodesk Inventor {2011-2014}. One example is a core i5-2400S. The latest versions of the INTEL driver will produce random blue screens in the graphics driver, even when NOT using Inventor (e. g. only firefox or thunderbird). Earlier versions will not produce random blue screens, but the output of newer versions of Autodesk Inventor is garbled. Here is a table of versions we have tested:
9.17.10.3347 Inventor 2014 correct display, blue screens
9.17.10.3223 Inventor 2014 correct display, blue screens
9.17.10.3062 Inventor 2014 correct display, blue screens
9.17.10.2817 Inventor 2014 correct display, blue screens
8.15.10.2696 Inventor 2014 correct display, blue screens
8.15.10.2653 Inventor 2014 correct display, no blue screens.
8.15.10.2626 Blue Screens.
8.15.10.2253 Inventor 2014 incorrect display, Inventor 2013 correct display, no blue screens.
What worries me most is that the blue screens occur in the most recent couple of version of the driver and did not in earlier version, even when using non-special software. I can produce crash dumps upon request. With best regards,
co

Sylvia,
sorry it took a moment to answer. The issue persists with the newest driver, which is version 15.28.22.64.3517 (9.17.10.3517). There was nothing in the release notes indicating that something like this would have been fixed. How would you like to proceed? I can provide a crash dump. Best regards,
Christian

Sylvia,
Dell currently ships 8.15.10.2401, A01 or A02. The last version from Dell we tried was 8.15.10.2253. That version did not produce blue screens, but produced garbled graphics output with Autodesk Inventor 2014. I will send you the crash dump separately. Thanks for looking into this,
Christian
