Hello ahmadhendeh:
In regard to your inquiry, you can use any of the resolutions that are available on the laptop or custom settings, and it will not cause any damage to it, if it has an Intel® processor in it, you can always get into the graphics control panel, select display and choose any of the resolutions that you will find there, or customize it.
If the laptop is using a video card, then you can get into the graphics control panel of the video card and select any of the resolutions that are listed in there, and if it has a customization option you can use that and the laptop will work without any problems.
Just in case, the following is the latest version of the graphics driver for Intel® HD Graphics 5500 controller:

As an option, you can always get further information by getting in contact directly with the manufacturer of it.
Any questions, please let me know.
