can not install intel graphics 32.0.101.7080 error code 999. Windows update ol Lenovo only downloads and installs 32.0.101.7026. Followed all the trouble shooting steps listed. Even Ran DDU to clean all old Intel graphic drivers. Manually ran gfx_win_101.7080.exe to no avail. Saw intel logo flash never saw option to do a clean install. Came back with Microsoft basic display adapter. once I enable the internet update comes back with Intel(R) UHD graphics 770 driver version 32.0.101.7026. when I try from intel driver assuistat get error code 999. fails with both 32.0.101.7080 and 32.0.101.8250.

Hi rayk,

Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum. I appreciate your message and want to assure you that I’m here to help with your concern. To better understand the issue and provide accurate support, could you please share the following details:

  • When running the manual installer (gfx_win_101.7080.exe), are you executing it as an Administrator?
  • At what exact stage does error 999 occur? (During extraction, hardware detection, or the actual installation?)
  • Are you disconnecting from the internet before starting the manual installation?
  • Do you have any antivirus software running during the installation process?
  • Are there any other graphics-related applications installed? If yes, please specify.
  • After using DDU, did you restart in Safe Mode and confirm that Device Manager displayed Microsoft Basic Display Adapter before attempting the new driver installation?

Additionally, to help us better understand your system configuration and provide precise assistance, we kindly request that you share the Intel® System Support Utility (SSU) logs from your device. These logs contain important details about your hardware and software environment, which are essential for troubleshooting.

Please follow these steps:

  1. Download and run the Intel® SSU application.
  2. The tool will generate a text file containing your system information.
  3. Refer to this guide for detailed instructions: Help Guide for the Intel® System Support Utility
  4. Once completed, please attach the generated file to your response.

If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,

Kent Russel P.

Ran manual scan as administrator. no error code jusr=t does not install. get error code 999 when installing from Intel Driver Suooort Assistant. When installing manually flashes the intel logo after unzipping files and that all folks.Started a chat wiyh intel which turned into a call froom intel Case #: 0674192. Agent tried to install  rometly which failed. the reply was as follows. I tried to disable the driver signature requirement and then manually install to no avail.

As discussed, the issue is caused by an OEM restriction, in which your Original Equipment Manufacturer limits or blocks the installation of third-party drivers on your system. As mentioned, we recommend contacting your OEM for further assistance in installing the latest graphics driver tailored for your system’s compatibility.

Since no further assistance is required from our end, we will now proceed to close this case.

Thank you, and have a nice day!

Best regards,

Hello rayk,

Thank you for the update and Case ticket reference.

Since our agent already attempted remote installation without success, and both manual installation and Intel Driver Support Assistant are failing, this indicates an OEM-level restriction on your system.

I recommend contacting your system manufacturer directly for proper driver installation guidance, as they can provide specific procedures or customized drivers for your hardware.

Please submit a new inquiry, as this thread will no longer be actively monitored.

Sincerely,

JeanetteC.
