Hi shafay
Where do you get that error message?
Does that happen with a specific application or when you are trying to install/uninstall something?
Thanks!

Hi shafay,
Can you attach a copy of your dxdiag please? (Start -> Run -> dxdiag -> Save All Information). Just copy & paste it here and we'll take a look.
Thanks,
-Nic

Thanks for that info shafay. Your BIOS version is dated for 2008, go ahead and upgrade to the following version and let me know if it fixes your issue or not; http://downloadcenter.intel.com/confirm.aspx?httpDown=http://downloadmirror.intel.com/19952/eng/RQG4110H.86A.0017.EB.EXE&lang=eng&Dwnldid=19952&DownloadType=BIOS&OSFullname=Windows+7+(32-bit)*&ProductID=3058 Download Center

I too am still having this same problem.
After having gone through numerous iterations of display drivers (Uninstall, Delete, Reboot, Download, Install).
I still get the same error message:
"an error occurred while registering one or more components"
This is with an Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family.
If 8.15.10.2869 is the most recent driver, why wont it work?
Also, when doing a manual search for compatible drivers, this driver is listed under:
15.17.19.64.2869
(Latest)
I realize this technology is a little dated, but is there any chance we can get some support from Intel?
Like, ever?
This is starting to make you guys look bad...

All,
Could you please install the Chipset Software update first, reboot, and then install the 2869 graphics driver? Please report back with your results.
