I have an intel nuc6i5syk and a display with (only) a VGA connector.

I'v tried several mini-dp to vga adapters, but none of them works, why is this?

Hello, Moris:

It is not recommended to use adapters to connect the displays (TV/Monitor) to your unit. Since the video signal is going from analog (VGA) to Digital (DP/HDMI) we cannot assure it is going to work properly.

I was checking some information regarding this, there are active and passive adapters, it seems like active adapters could help in this type of situations.

The signal is going from digital (dp) to analog (vga), and other people don't seem to have the same problem

Hello, Moris:

Have you checked which are the specific adapters used by the other users mentioned?

Also, you could test doing the following, test a direct connection to DP in the NUC to make sure it works properly and to discard that as the issue.

I look forward to your outcome.
