Hello katsux,

Thanks for the information provided. In order to continue further, please try the following:

1. Perform a clean install of the Intel driver if the drivers from your motherboard manufacturer did not work:

2. Make sure that your BIOS is in default settings.

3. Confirm with your motherboard manufacturer if the latest BIOS version is installed.

4. Check the fan connectivity and thermal solution installation.

1. What is the brand and model name of your processor?

intel i5-12400.

2. What is your operating system version and build?

Windows 10  build 10.0.19044.

3. Are you using a laptop or a desktop computer?

desktop.

4. Can you provide more details about this issue?

The flow is like this:

I was working on my PC → be out for a meeting → when I was back, found it restarted.

The eventlog reports a BugCheck log, which gives:

计算机已经从检测错误后重新启动。检测错误: 0x0000009f (0x0000000000000003, 0xffffcb07b3809360, 0xffffee00a485f790, 0xffffcb07b61c8780)。已将转储的数据保存在: C:\Windows\Minidump\081622-4531-01.dmp。报告 ID: dd7f4d7f-4f35-4ef0-9a11-cf6f9a58a5b0。

To English:

The computer has restarted from a bugcheck. Detection error: 0x0000009f (0x0000000000000003, 0xffffcb07b3809360, 0xffffee00a485f790, 0xffffcb07b61c8780). Dumped data has been saved in: C:\Windows\Minidump\081622-4531-01.dmp. Report ID: dd7f4d7f-4f35-4ef0-9a11-cf6f9a58a5b0.

I'm using dual monitors(2160p 60Hz and 1080p 60Hz)   and OS is set to turn off the display after 30min idle,

This may help troubleshooting the issue.

5. Did you notice the issue after a system update? When did the issue start?

It happened with my newly DIY computer . Previously I was using Intel E3-1230V3 + AMD R9 280X for 8 years,

and never met a system crash like this. (the disk holding operating system is still being used.)

6. Does the unit restart randomly or does it happen after a specific action?

Seems like happening randomly.

The main post is the analysis result from WinDbg, I did some investigation but couldn't dig more as I'm not a driver developer.

BTW, I was unable to attach the dump file, it failed with "The attachment's 081622-4531-01.dmp content type (application/octet-stream) does not match its file extension and has been removed.", which looks a bit unreasonable .

Thanks

Katsu

Thank you Deivid, I will first try step 1 (for step 2 and 3, updating BIOS needs some extra permissions for me),

if the issue is reproduced I will append related logs here.

Best,

Katsu

Hi Deivid,

It didn't reproduce in 6 days, I'm not sure the issue is solved in latest driver or just happens randomly.

This post can be closed for not stagnating. I will open another thread if met again.

Best,

Katsu
