I installed the in PCIe slot. I have connected both 1x6pins and 1x8pins with PSU. My card didn’t turn ON. I did some debug and doing out, it turn ON with only 1x6pins (still no display) but as soon as I correct 1x8pin then card doesn’t turn ON and computer doesn’t reboot. I need some pointers for troubleshooting what I maybe missing? Please let me know.

Hello Tuees,
Thank you for posting on the Intel
during bootup, could you kindly respond to the following questions so that we can better understand the situation and check comptibility?
- Is the graphics card an Intel Branded Card, or is it from another brand? This is to know if it happens to a specific edition.
- What is the Power Supply make and model?
- What is the motherboard make, model and BIOS version?
- What is the Processor make and model?
- When you connect the 1x6pins and 1x8pins cables, do you see any ligths or fans spinning in the graphics card?
Regards,
Andres P.

Hi Andres,
Yes, it is Intel branded card (in blue Intel box)
Power supply: Thermaltake - ToughPower GF1 850W
Motherboard: ROG Strix X229-E GAMING II Bios ver: 0702 x64
Processor: Core I9 Extreme I9-10980, 3GHz, 24.75MB Cache (LGA2066)
when I connect with 1x6 pins, graphics card light turns ON (I think fan as well, but no display on monitor) but nothing happens as soon I connect 1x8pins cable
Regards,
Ali

Hello Tuees,
Thank you for all the information provided, that helps a lot.
I see the BIOS is not up to date, we recommend having the latest version installed to improve compatibility, performance, and stability. Please update it to version 1601, for installation steps contact ASUS.
Remember to:
- Ensure the graphics card is properly seated with the locking latch properly clicked in.
- Ensure the power connectors are properly connected to the power supply and to the graphics card.
Please keep me informed of the results.
Regards,
Andres P.

I have updated the BIOS as you suggested. Ensured GPU is installed properly and PSU connections are secured. Also, tried GPU in another slot BUT issue is still there as described earlier.

Hello Tuees,
Thank you for your time.
I have been working on the investigation and now I have the following recommendation for you, please let me know the results:
- Test different cables/monitor
- Are you using adapters to connect the graphics card to the motherboard?
- Compatibility Support Module (CSM) or Legacy Mode must be disabled, and UEFI boot mode must be Enabled.
- Ensure the following settings are set to Enabled (or Auto if the Enabled option is not present):
- Above 4G Decoding
- Re-Size BAR Support
For the steps you have to make in the BIOS, you can contact ASUS for guidance.

I tried these steps but no luck.
Is there a way to get phone support ?
If not, then I see only option which is to return this GPU.

You can contact us through Internal Support, see the Intel Support Phone List.
I also will be more than glad to continue with the investigation, if you agree, let me know. If so, please let me know if you are using an adapter to connect the graphics card to the motherboard like the following image.
