Arc Control not installing with drivers

I just bought an A770 which I've been trying to setup for a little while now but I can't seem to get Arc Control to install properly for the life of me.  I've followed every recommendation I've been able to find on here and on other sites along with attempting a complete reinstall of Windows since.  The error is for not having permissions but when I check it says I have administrator permissions so I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do.  If someone could help me figure it out how to get it working that would be really helpful.

Hello Kugelblitz1,

Thank you for joining the Intel communities. We would be more than glad to help you install the Arc Control Sofware.

To better assist you, we would like to confirm the following information:

  • You mentioned that you tried multiple solutions. What troubleshooting steps have you tried besides reinstalling the Operating System?
  • When you reinstalled the Operating System, did you use a new system image?
  • Is this the first graphics adapter installed in your system?
  • Can you share a screenshot of the error message you received when installing the application?
  • We want to ask for a report for more details about your system. Please create a system report using the Intel System Support Utility (Intel SSU):
    • Open the application and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. By default, Intel SSU will take you to the "Summary View."
    • Click on the menu where it says: "Summary" to change it to "Detailed View."
    • To save your scan, click "Next"; and then "Save."

Best regards,

I tried running the installer as the administrator, I've decompressed the executable and run the one specifically for ARC Control as admin.  I saw in another post about enabling user permissions which I both tried activating in a sub menu that I forgot what exactly it was called and also reenabling some path directories that I saw had fixed it for another person.  I also tried using DDU driver uninstaller to wipe everything and reinstall drivers.  After all those didn't work I tried the OS wipe and that didn't seem to fix the problem either.

When I did the reinstall I did the Windows Recovery option but the Windows install was only about a day old when I reset it so there was basically nothing on it and I chose to clean wipe option but I can give a complete reflash a try.

The computer is only running the A770 so there aren't any other graphics drivers on it and the Windows install I was using was flashed from a new system image the first time I tried to set up the graphics card and its drivers.

I put images of the error being thrown both in the dedicated Arc Control executable and the graphics driver installer along with a log of the failed installation in the attachments so hopefully you're able to see something I haven't been able to with it.

Hello Kugelblitz1,

We understand that you did a Windows Recovery and performed a clean wipe of the operating system. However, since the issue remains, and the privileges issue seems to be related to the OS, we would advise you to do a fresh installation of the Operating System. We recommend you contact Microsoft for installation instructions, but you can take a look at the following article.

Thanks, I'll give that a try and see if that fixes it.
