Hello,
when playing Black Mesa on my Arc I have to use these launch options for my Arc 770 LE to be recognised correctly.
-force_vendor_id 0x10DE -force_device_id 0x1180
Without this there a graphic errors considering fog, flashlight and the AA option isn't working.
Is there a chance this gets corrected in the Arc drivers?
Best regards

Hello PKD-NeXuS,
Thank you for all your time.
We have been working really hard on this issue, and I want to let you know that Intel already debugged this issue and found it is an app bug. The game doesn’t render correctly on Intel because the game code seems to be sending incorrect commands to the graphics card.
Intel has already approached the game developer to request code changes but the more users report this to them the better so they allocate resources to this cause.
Please let me know if you have further questions.
Regards,
Andres P.

Hello PKD-NeXuS,
Thank you for posting on the Intel
As you mentioned to resolve the issue we recommend to install the latest driver and follow the below steps:
- Access the Download Center and Download the latest Intel Arc Driver.
- Open Steam App and Go to Library.
- Select the "Black Mesa" game from the list.
- Right click the game's title "Black Mesa" and Select Properties.
- Go to the"General" tab and find the "Launch Options" section.
- Enter "-force_vendor_id 0x10DE -force_device_id 0x1180 -dxlevel 95" and Close the properties.
- Launch the "Black Mesa" game.
- After closing the game, remove "-dxlevel 95" or the settings will reset each time the game is launched.
Since you want to know if there is a chance this gets corrected in the Arc drivers, before starting with an investigation to answer your question, does the issue happen with the latest graphics driver version 31.0.101.4972 we released this week?

Hello Andres,
thank you for your reply.
Yes, I've checked the the problem with the latest driver 31.0.101.4972 - the errors still occur whithout the launch properties.
It's not a difficult workaround, but a permanent fix would surely be much appreciated.
Best regards

Can confirm, Black Mesa (on Steam) is still broken on Arc (ARC 770 in my case) if no launch Parameter is used.
It's also not really hard to reproduce, just launch the game, in my case.
Hope you implement the fix into the driver too.
Keep up the good work!
