Call of Duty: MWIII Rendering Bug

I noticed another post with the same issue by a different user, so I put the same subject title.

I tried with driver ver. 32.0.101.8136.

Game menus are fine but as soon as I load in a game of any mode all I'm seeing is some faint edges of textures, rain splatter, entire map is just grey. I run MW3 via Steam.

I re-installed via DDU in safe mode and same result.

Here’s my system setup:

OS: Win 11 Pro (64-bit)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7800 X3D
Motherboard: TUF GAMING B650-PLUS
Memory: 32GB DDR4 3000MHz (OC'd with expo)
GPU: Intel Arc B580 Graphics Family
Monitor: Philips Evnia QD OLED 27M2N8500
Storage: Crucial P3 Plus 1TB PCIe M.2 2280 SSD | CT1000P3PSSD8
Power Supply: SEASONIC FOCUS GX-1000 1000W 80+ Gold

To the representative who would reply, please let me know if I should go ahead and e-mail you the SSU reports. Thank you

Sadly that didn't do anything. Only the drivers JewdG posted work.

Hello mw3aintb580ing,

Thank you for posting on Intel Community Forum.

To effectively address your concern, kindly share the additional information below.

1. Was the game running/working perfectly fine before?

2. Is the issue isolated to Call of Duty: MWIII?

3. Are you running any overlays (Discord, Steam, MSI Afterburner)?

Additionally, to have a better understanding of your system configuration and components please generate a complete copy of the System Support Utility (SSU) report. Please follow instructions here and send the report - How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*

If you prefer to send the SSU report via email, please let me know and I'll arrange a private email.

I look forward to your response.

Hello mw3aintb580ing,

Thank you so much for your continued efforts and cooperation — it truly means a lot. I’ll keep investigating this issue on my end and will also replicate the scenario in our test lab to see if we encounter the same behavior. To ensure the replication is as accurate as possible, could you kindly share the exact game settings you’re using? That information would be incredibly helpful.

I look forward to your response.

Hi JedG and OP!

I don't want to interrupt the investigation, but I would like to say that I face the exact same issue as OP. I can confirm that the issues OP described are the same as the one I face in this game. Menu and the HUD is fine in the game but everything else is plain grey, so its a graphics bug.

Thank you very much OP for reporting this issue to the Arc team, hopefully this will get solved. And thank you very much Arc team for your efforts! We are really grateful for your assistance!

Best regards,

Ákos

Hi JedG,

I've posted a screenshot with my current settings. Also I tried with MW3's low settings preset and it's the same.

Hello mw3aintb580ing,

I'm writing to inform you that our investigation is ongoing. To help us better understand the issue, could you please try installing the oldest available driver—version 32.0.101.6874—and let us know if the problem still occurs?

If the issue persists, we’d greatly appreciate it if you could share a short video clip demonstrating the behavior. This will help us analyze it more thoroughly and move closer to a resolution.

I look forward to your response.

Best regards

Hi JedG!

I'm not the author of this thread, but I would like to assist in this investigation. From my experience, these artifacts began after 6987 and 6972. The game worked flawlessly with driver version 6913 and before that. If I switch to 6913 or older, the game works perfectly.

I apologize for interrupting the investigation, but since I face the exact same issue, I would like to assist with these informations.

A Reddit users reported this issue also, I attach the link below.

Thank you very much for your help Arc team!

It works with the drivers you've posted in the link but on occasion there's some artifacting while gpu temps are well below 50c, i've never OC'd this GPU. Can we get the latest drivers to work for mw3?

I’ve seen similar issues caused by driver conflicts or shader cache corruption after updates. You could try clearing the DirectX shader cache and verifying game files through Steam. Also, make sure Windows HDR settings match your monitor’s capabilities. If the problem persists, testing older driver versions might help isolate the bottleneck in rendering.

Hi!

I'm glad to hear that the driver version JedG recommended works. Hopefully the dev team will be able to solve this so we can use the latest drivers too to play the game. I also tried with the driver version JedG mentioned, and the game runs perfectly with that version.

Thank you guys for your efforts to solve this!

Best wishes,

Ákos
