Hi support team,
I have massive issues when I start a 3D game.
As long as I'm in the game menu everything is fine. When I then start into the game, computer restarts immidiatly. With my old GTX1070 I had not such issues.
I've done a clean driver installation with using DDU for uninstall the old NVidia driver.
Games tested with: Warhammer 40k Rogue Trade, Darktide, Helldivers2.
Counter Strike 2 is running good.
System:
CPU: Intel Core i7 8700k
RAM: 32GB
MB: Gigabyte Z370p-d3
VGA: ASRock ARC A770 Phantom Gaming
PSU: Sharkoon WPM700 bronze
(old) VGA: Gainward GTX1070
RBar is activated.
Games tested with: Warhammer 40k Rogue Trade, Darktide, Helldivers2.
Counter Strike 2 is running good.
Thx for your help.
Regards
Patrick

Hello Patrick,
It seems you're experiencing a power-related issue that causes your computer to restart when starting a 3D game with your ASRock ARC A770 Phantom Gaming graphics card. This problem doesn't appear to be isolated, as others have reported similar issues with the ARC A770 series when running 3D applications.
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Power Supply Unit (PSU): The Sharkoon WPM700 bronze PSU may be struggling to provide the necessary power when the GPU is under full load during 3D games.Although it operates at an efficiency of over 85%, it might not be sufficient for your new setup. Consider upgrading to a higher-rated PSU, especially one with an 80+ Silver or Gold rating for better efficiency under load.
2. Graphics Card Compatibility: Ensure that your motherboard's BIOS is up to date.Sometimes, a BIOS update can resolve compatibility issues with newer hardware.
3. Overheating: Check if your system is overheating when running 3D games. Overheating can cause the system to shut down to prevent damage. Monitor the temperatures of both your CPU and GPU during gameplay.
4. Driver Issues: Although you've done a clean driver installation, it might be worth trying different versions of the graphics driver, including both newer and older versions, to see if the issue persists.
5. Hardware Fault: There's a possibility of a hardware fault with the graphics card. If possible, test the card in another system or try a different card in your system to rule out other components.
6. System Logs: Check the Windows Event Viewer for any critical errors or warnings that could provide more insight into why the system is restarting.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be best to contact ASRock support for further assistance or consider returning the card if it's still under warranty. Remember to back up any important data before making significant changes to your system.
Cheers,
Max

Thank you for the answer and suggested solutions.
A new power supply, Enermax 850W, fixed the problem in my case.
Cheers,
Patrick
