Fix stuff...break stuff

While I appreciate the numeroud fixes for others, I can't help but notice that Intel keeps breaking existing features in driver releases.

I initially got the green light for VR with beta driver 4090 and it worked flawlessly.

I used it on a consistent basis and then took a break from VR.

I came back a few months later and VR was again off the table with driver 4826.

It was back with driver 4887.

It is now gone again with 4900.

Stop breaking stuff folks.

At the very minimum, test the previous features before releasing the 'new' drivers.

I've now gone back to 4887 with no other changes to the system....(no Windows updates, no other driver updates and no firmware updates)...and VR again works.

This confirms my findings.

Hello Saabjock,

Thank you for posting in the Intel Communities to provide your feedback. We thank you for sharing your thoughts and recommendations regarding testing previous features before we release a new driver. We would like to let you know that we complete a validation process when releasing new drivers, and it is important to mention that Intel Arc graphics support for VR headsets continues to evolve as we ramp our products and add updates to our software stack.

Best regards

Hello Saabjock,

Since we have not received a response from you, we will proceed to close this thread. As we mentioned before, Intel Arc graphics support for VR headsets continues to evolve as we ramp up our products and add updates to our software stack. If you need any other assistance, please open a new question, as Intel will no longer monitor this thread.

Best regards
