Horrible video record quality with 4887 driver

I've noticed a massive loss of video capture quality (with the exact same settings) after installing the 4887 driver last evening when using OBS.

That loss was not there on any of the previous drivers including 4824, 4826 or 4885.

Not only is the quality bad but microstutter has been introduced.

Thank you for posting on the  Intel® ARC™ Graphics Communites.


As a first approach, I would recommend reinstalling driver 4887 using DDU just to make sure there are no leftovers causing the issue.


If the issue continues to happen, please let us know the OBS version you are using as well as your recording settings which will be useful in case we need to reproduce this problem. If you can share sample videos to compare the quality it would be even better.


Also, Have you checked with the Arc Control recording feature and tested if a similar issue can be reproduced? This will help us narrow down if this might be a driver problem or an OBS issue affected by the driver update.

Were you able to test driver 4887 with OBS? Let us know if the same issue is still happening, if so, please share with us your OB settings and if possible a sample video so we can check and try to reproduce this problem. Also, Have you been able to check if this problem is only happening in OBS or does it also happen with Arc Control?
