- ASUS Z690-A Motherboard
- Intel Core i7 12700KF
- G.Skill DDR5 RAM 32GB F5-6000J363F16G
- AsROCK Intel Arc A770 16GB Phantom Gaming
- Graphics Driver 32.0.101.8136, via a clean driver installation using DDU
- Windows 11 Pro 26100.6584, 24H2
While playing Hunt Showdown 1896 (via Steam), the objects in the game constantly flicker bright/dark. I have attached a video (in slow motion) and another in normal speed depicting this issue. My brother and my wife have almost identical specs and Arc A770 video cards, and we all suffer from the same issue. We have slightly different motherboards, but all have a 12700KF processor and A770 16GB video cards.
I tried changing resolution from 1440p to 1080p and the issue constantly occurs. I use a Samsung G55C 32" 1440p curved monitor, while my brother uses a KTC 32 inch curved monitor. This is the only game with this issue (it is NOT a refresh rate issue or monitor issue).
This flickering happens all the time on various parts of the Hunt Showdown maps. It's also easily replicated while playing PRACTICE (as seen on the videos attached).
I have changed EVERY video setting all the way down and all the way up (and every option in between) to try various settings to see if I could eliminate the issue. No matter what, all three of us (my wife, my brother, and me) all have the issues with the flickering.
I have verified everything is updated (windows, drivers, motherboard firmware, etc etc) and the issue does not go away. I even reinstalled Windows 11 on my computer - so please do not recommend a driver or Windows install as the solution - this is clearly the Hunt Showdown game and Intel Arc A770 compatibility issue.

Hello envisioning,
Thank you for reaching out to Intel Community Forum and for providing detailed information regarding the flickering issue in Hunt Showdown 1896. I understand how inconvenient this situation can be, especially since it is affecting multiple systems with similar configurations.
To assist you further in investigating the issue, may I kindly request the following information:
- Have you observed similar flickering behavior in other games or applications?
- What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
- When did the issue first begin?
- Was this working fine before?
- Have you observed similar flickering behavior in other games or applications?
- Were there any recent software updates, hardware changes, or installations prior to the issue occurring?
- Have you tried using different display cables or ports (such as HDMI or DisplayPort) to run the game?
- Have you tested the game on an alternative monitor or display setup?
- Could you please provide us the SSU logs of your system? You can find instructions on How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*
Your responses will help in identifying the root cause and determining the appropriate solution.
I look forward to your reply so I can continue providing support.
Best regards,
Kenneth B.

- Have you observed similar flickering behavior in other games or applications?
- I have posted previously about some weird artifact glitching/shadows/lights in Assassin’s Creed Origins
- https://community.intel.com/t5/Graphics/Assassin-s-Creed-Origins/m-p/1553365#M125889
- What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
- I have been using computers since 1994 and I am very advanced with troubleshooting. I have tried every setting in the game and turned it all the way up, and all the way down, tinkered with resolution, windowed, windowed borderless, etc etc… nothing changes the issue. I already mentioned I did extensive troubleshooting in the original post.
- When did the issue first begin?
- Always. Since I downloaded the game in August 2025 – I have always had the issue, and so did my wife and my brother on their computers (since August 2025).
- Was this working fine before?
- Never. This has always been an issue since I downloaded the game August 2025
- Were there any recent software updates, hardware changes, or installations prior to the issue occurring?
- This issue has always occurred and never went away. The game had multiple updates, and Intel Arc graphics had multiple updates – nothing fixes the issue. No change in the issue.
- Have you tried using different display cables or ports (such as HDMI or DisplayPort) to run the game?
- Yes. 4K HDMI, 4K DisplayPort, etc etc
- Have you tested the game on an alternative monitor or display setup?
- Yes, as explained in the original post, my brother, my wife, and I all share the same artifacts/issues. We all have different monitors and motherboards… but we all have Arc A770 graphics cards.

@KennethB_Intel I reported a similar(but different) issue also. There is some sort of driver interaction with the game engine that is not doing what it must.

I don't want to interrupt the investigation, but I would like to mention that I have exactly the same issue. The exact same graphical artifacts. Crashrabbitz already wrote a thread about this issue, but nobody answered his question sadly. I would like to ask the Arc team to investigate these graphical artifacts. If you need, I can join in to help and give you data but as i said earlier, I face exactly the same issue as OP.
Thank you very much for your help and efforts Arc team! I'm sure we will solve this together somehow.
Best wishes,
Ákos

Hello envisioning,
I sincerely apologize for the delayed response.
Upon reviewing the information provided, I see that you have already updated your graphics driver to the latest version. As an initial step, I kindly recommend updating your BIOS to the latest version to determine if the issue persists.
Furthermore, I suggest trying different versions of the Intel® Arc™ A770 Graphics driver, including older versions, to check if there is any improvement. Once you have tried using different drivers, kindly let me know which versions you have tested.
Please let me know if the issue continues so I can proceed with further internal investigation.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
Best regards,
Kenneth B.
