Dear Intel Support,
I have an Intel Arc A580 graphics card and a Dell S2722DC monitor, which supports 75Hz over HDMI 2.1. I'm using a certified HDMI 2.1 cable, but in the Intel Arc Control software, I can only select 60Hz, and the Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) option is unavailable.
I have tried the following:
Installed the latest Intel Arc drivers
Checked the monitor firmware
Switched HDMI ports
Unfortunately, the issue persists. Could you please clarify whether this is a known limitation and if there are any planned driver updates to resolve it?
Thank you in advance!
Best regards,
Mahir Bajric

- 2560 x 1440 (WQHD) @ 75 Hz
- 1 x USB Type-C upstream port (DisplayPort 1.2 Alternate Mode)
- 2 x HDMI ports version 1.4
- AMD FreeSync™
HDMI VRR is not supported over HDMI 1.4. AMD FreeSync is an AMD proprietary protocol.
Intel Arc graphics cards do support VESA AdaptiveSync over DisplayPort. Unfortunately, the monitor's manual does not indicate that the monitor supports this so you will need to test it.
Please use one of these bidirectional cables:
- Zeskit MAYA 8K Bi-Directional USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 Cable
- Club 3D USB Type C Cable to DP 1.4 (CAC-1557)
Plug the end with the DisplayPort connector into the Arc graphics card and the USB Type-C end into the monitor.
I think you'll definitely get 75 Hz this way.
