Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy - FPS drops and stuttering

Hi,

I'm playing Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy on Steam and after solving a problem in another thread I've been requested to open another one to try to address another issue: fps drops and stuttering.

I've recorded an extended playthrough with CapFrameX.

Thanks a lot for your help,

Shanrya

Hi Shanrya,

Thank you for posting in our Community. I appreciate you taking the time to record your gameplay with CapFrameX, as this data can be very helpful in diagnosing the issue. Let's work together to identify potential solutions to improve your gaming experience.

  • What graphics settings are you currently using in the game?
  • Have you had a chance to update your graphics card drivers recently? I reviewed the previous thread you shared, and it appears that your current driver version is 32.0.101.6874. I wanted to let you know that there is a newer version available, 32.0.101.6881, which may help address the FPS drop and stuttering issues you're experiencing with the game. Keeping your drivers up to date can often resolve performance-related problems
  • Are you playing the latest version of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy? Sometimes patches and updates can address performance issues.

Have a nice day!

Hi Shanrya,

Thank you for the confirmation and for sharing the game settings. I appreciate it. If possible, could you kindly provide a version of the game settings translated into English? That would really help me review the configuration more efficiently and ensure nothing gets lost in translation as we troubleshoot further.

Additionally, I would like to ask for a bit more detail to better understand the issue. Could you kindly specify when and where in the game you typically experience FPS drops or stuttering? For instance, does it occur during cutscenes, combat sequences, open-world exploration, or in specific levels or scenarios? Also, have you noticed if these performance issues begin after a certain amount of gameplay time, or are they triggered by specific in-game events? Your insights on this will greatly help in narrowing down the cause and identifying an appropriate solution.

Thanks again for your cooperation, and I'm here if you need anything else!

Best regards,

Von M.

Hi Von,

  • Settings in english attached;
  • I've had most of them before/after cutscenes or before/after game events (like the character stops to look an occurring event); I've faced them less frequently, but still, when roaming around (the game is not open world) the level;
  • They're not related to the play time, moments ago I've just started a new game and faced the fps drops.

I just want to let you know that the issue has already been found (on your end) in a previous thread .

Hi Shanrya,

I have conducted multiple tests across various systems and resolutions, and the B580's performance appears to be as expected when compared to a third-party graphics card. I did not experience significant stuttering while using the B580.

To further troubleshoot the issue you are experiencing, we recommend performing the following steps and letting us know the results:

1.Verify RAM Integrity: Run the Windows Memory Diagnostic

2.Check SSD Integrity:

  • Open a Command Prompt window by pressing the Windows icon + R, typing "cmd," and pressing "Enter."
  • Type "wmic" and press "Enter" in the new window.
  • Type "diskdrive get status" and press "Enter."
  • The CMD will display the status of each drive:
    • OK: Your SSD is performing well.
  • Pred Fail: Your drive may be at risk of crashing soon. If the status is Pred Fail, please back up your data or clone the SSD immediately to prevent data loss.

3.Check OS Integrity: Run the Windows System File Checker.

If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you.
