Hello, I have MSI GF 63 thin 11uc laptop and Acer monitor that can support 1080 at 180hz. However the maximum refresh rate I get is 120hz at 1080 with outdate graphics driver version 30.0.100.9864. If I update my graphics driver to the latest ones I only get 60hz at 1080. I have connected the same HDMI cable to a different laptop that has i5 1145G7 CPU and it can support 180hz at 1080. Please help

Please note that MSI lists the HDMI port version for this laptop as 1.4 (4K @ 30 Hz). This provides a bandwidth of 9 Gbps. This is not enough for 1080p @ 180 Hz. So the maximum is 1080p @ 120 Hz. The driver version you mention is not outdated. It is the latest version MSI provides for this platform. You should always use the device manufacturer's driver if available since this is the one the manufacturer consinders as most compatible with their hardware. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done here.
