CPU: Ryzen 5 7500F
Motherboard: ASRock B650M Pro RS, BIOS revision 3.50 (since reverted to 3.20)
RAM: Teamgroup T-Force Vulcan 16GB 6000 MHz DDR5
GPU: ASRock Arc B580 Challenger
It worked fine for the first day, but it began to bluescreen (VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE). DDU may or may not have solved it, but I wouldn't know because I have a new pressing problem where the system would refuse to output to the monitor, not even to the BIOS. I could tell it did boot successfully by powering it off and it taking a few seconds to shut down (or shutting down immediately if I mashed F2 to go to BIOS), but it refuses to output anything aside from a few random times, after which it would go back to square one immediately after a reboot.
Some of the other things I tried:
- Swapping out display cables and monitors (all of them worked fine when plugged to other computers)
- Resetting/updating the BIOS via flashback
- Reseating and putting the RAM in another slot
- Clearing the CMOS
- Reseating the GPU
- Sending the GPU to RMA, which they reported back as being perfectly fine
- Per a suggestion, waiting a few seconds after turning on the PC before turning on the monitor
None of which have seemed to work.
The most recent development is that the system would output just fine with another GPU put in. I've also tried reverting the motherboard BIOS version with no luck.
Currently my biggest suspicion is that updating the GPU's drivers also updated it to a new VBIOS that screwed up compatibility somehow, but I'd appreciate other suggestions as well. The fact that it worked for a day also tells me that all of the settings should be in the right place too even after the BIOS resets.

This smells like a firmware-level compatibility issue between that ASRock B650M board and the Arc B580. The card itself is probably fine, but the motherboard and GPU are straight-up not vibing during the boot handshake. Arc cards can be picky as hell when paired with AMD systems, especially when: BIOS versions change (AGESA updates mess with PCIe initialization). ReBAR (Resizable BAR) randomly disables after a CMOS clear. The Arc GPU VBIOS gets a firmware update from a driver and the board doesn’t like the new handshake. The issue described involves a PC with an Intel® Arc™ B580 Graphics Card that fails to output to the display, even during the BIOS phase. The problem is specifically related to the DisplayPort connectivity, as the system displays normally during POST and the Windows splash screen but loses output once Windows fully loads. This issue does not occur when using the HDMI port, indicating that the card functions correctly in that mode. The problem seems to be consistent across multiple DisplayPort ports and cables, and it appears to be isolated to certain monitor compatibility, particularly with the LG 35WN65C ultrawide monitor. In contrast, another monitor, the Samsung CF791, works under most DisplayPort conditions after an initial HDMI setup.

Yeh, your hunch about it being a firmware or VBIOS issue totally makes sense, especially since rolling the motherboard BIOS back didn’t change anything. Sending it in under warranty is definitely the right call the techs there can dig deeper and confirm if it’s really a firmware problem. You can start the warranty process directly through the place where you bought the item.
But that said, I do have some steps that might help resolve or improve the situation: Boot using your working GPU,
Go into BIOS > Advanced > Chipset Configuration (or similar).
Ensure these are set:
Primary Display Adapter: PCIe
CSM (Compatibility Support Module): Disabled
Resizable BAR: Enabled
Above 4G Decoding: Enabled.
Re-download BIOS 3.50 from ASRock’s official site, and flash it again using Instant Flash (not Windows-based updater). After flashing, do a CMOS clear again (pull the battery for 5 minutes).

I had to use the integrated cpu graphics first and then once the firmware updated through the latest driver it ended up posting without issue.
