Task manager resources use

Why is ARC Control using so many resources in Task Manager?

I just launched it to see what was running at startup and sure enough, there are multiples of various components...most absolutely hogging into the system resources.

Thank you for posting on the Intel communities. I see in the screenshot that Intel® Arc™ Control is using many resources when starting up, I will be mote than happy to help you.  

 

In order to enhance comprehension of the circumstances, kindly respond to the following inquiries: 


  • Have you noticed what resource Intel® Arc™ Control using the most? For example the memory RAM, processor, etc.
  • To check your hardware and software information, can you run and attach the  Intel® System Support Utility for Windows (SSU) report? You can find the steps on the link How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows.

I checked in the Intel® SSU that you system is up to date, please follow the steps below and let me know the results:


  1. Uninstall Intel® Arc™ Control
  2. Clean install the graphics driver with Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU). For guidance, How to Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to Uninstall an Intel® Graphics Driver.
  3. Install the graphics driver 31.0.101.5081.

Were you able to update the graphics driver to version 31.0.101.5081 to check if the behavior changes?
