Hello,

Maybe someone already reporting this, but the latest 8331 Driver for intel Arc is making all the AI stuff on Lightroom Classic unusable, after clicking the AI feature (like ai maskig)t will proceed it for a sec then the screen goes blackout and Lightroom will disable the gpu acceleration because an error.

Unfortunately, i already doing a rollback to 8132 driver because i need to finish my work for the client. Iam sorry if i cant help provide any info for the problem.

I think for now 8132 Driver fixed all the problem on lrc (i never try the 8247 driver though).

Hello Okta,

Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.

I completely understand your decision to roll back to the 8132 driver - client work takes priority, and you need a stable working environment. Thank you for taking the time to report this issue with the 8331 driver causing problems with Lightroom Classic's AI features.

When you have a chance, could you help me gather some details:

  1. Did this problem occur immediately after updating to the 8331 drivers?
  2. Would you be able to provide an Intel SSU log file when convenient?

It's completely understandable if you can't do further testing right now, but your input would significantly assist our investigation. Please reply when you have a chance.

Best regards,

JeanetteC.

Hello,

I already did try re installed the update for trying to get some info for it now by doing a clean install of the driver by using ddu and it seems everything are working normally.

Im not sure what causing the behavior before because i recall it happen instantly after the update. Now everything are normal, maybe the actual driver itself didnt have any issue and windows did somehow break the update.

Hello Okta,

It's great to hear the DDU clean installation fixed everything.

You're exactly right - driver update installations can sometimes get corrupted by Windows or other processes, even when the driver itself is fine. Using DDU was the ideal solution to clear out any conflicting files.

Since everything is working normally now, I'll proceed in closing this thread. Should you need assistance in the future, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.

Sincerely,

JeanetteC.
