Arc B580 Blue Screen in Battlefield 6

Dear Intel Support Technicians:
I'm experiencing persistent blue screen crashes during Battlefield 6 gameplay on my Arc B580, with errors indicating an Intel Arc driver-related issue. After clean installations of drivers 8531, 8432, and 8509, crashes consistently occurred while both XeSS upscaling and frame generation were enabled—though I'm not certain if XeSS is the actual cause. My system (Intel Core i5-13600KF, Windows 11 23H2) runs the game flawlessly with an RTX 3070 under identical settings, suggesting possible driver compatibility concerns. Could you provide insights on whether this relates to recent driver updates or hardware interactions? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Quick update to add more details:
Initially, the crashes started with a DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG error, and later shifted to blue screens showing the igdkmdnd64.sys fault. Still not certain if this ties directly to XeSS, but wanted to share these specific error codes in case they help narrow down the issue! Thanks for any insights.

You're not alone on this, i just claimed battlefield 6, tried playing it and it seems to be crashing my system every time i try to play, both gpu driver error and also the igdkmdnd64.sys fault, i tried to DDU but that didnt help, turned off XMP and that wasnt it either, ran sfc /scannow to see if somethings wrong but nothing found too, so possibly something with the drivers, we'll have to wait

This is my newly purchased graphics card, normally there shouldn't be any hardware failure—it's likely a software issue, especially with the drivers. However, over the past few hours, I've been testing and suddenly found that my machine can run a full game??!!by the way this time i was using the 8059 driver, also the XeSS upscaling and frame generation turned on.i'm going to do more test.

Most likely is a software issue, i also have my card for 2 weeks, ill revert back from 8531 to 8509 and see what happens

Update: The blue screen issue in Battlefield 6 occurs across all game modes, whatever Breakthrough and Conquest. In my recent test, keeping XeSS Super Resolution enabled and adjusting Intel Frame Generation from 3x to 2x in Intel Graphics Command Center has reduced the blue screen frequency, though it hasn’t completely gone away.

I remember from my previous tests that when I joined Conquest mode, the probability of blue screens and DX errors was higher compared to Breakthrough mode. Sometimes in Breakthrough, I could make it through a few minutes of gameplay before it crashed, whereas in Conquest mode, it often would trigger a DX error or blue screen restart right during the loading screen.

Hello! I also have this Blue Screen of Death issue and the source of the problem is the Arc Driver igdkmdnd64.sys. Playing Battlefield 6 would instantly crash my PC and insta restart. The solution is to have Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling enabled(mine was set to off) under System>Display>Graphics. No more BSOD. Hope this helps!

So far i've played 2 matches with gpu acceleration and i can confirm it didnt crash to bios, this is promising. used to crash in not even one before.

Thank you for your reply. I'm going to do more tests to verify if it works, because I also turned off the Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling.By the way, after the recent update to the 8626 driver, iI felt the blue screen incidents have decreased.

You've saved my day! I've had BSODs in every match for two months. I've already replaced the CPU and MOBO. But today, with GPU scheduling enabled, I played seven matches in a row without any issues..
