Arc B580 compatibility issues with Frogmonster

Hello,

I'm trying to troubleshoot what I think is a compatibility issue with this custom-engine indie game, Frogmonster. The game's required specs are far below my 12900KS and Arc B580 build, but I'm getting incredibly low framerates of between 4 and 20 FPS at maximum and minimum settings, respectively. GPU utilization ranges between around 87% on minimum settings and absolutely pinned at 100% on maximum settings, but the power draw of the GPU never exceeds 50 or so watts.

I played the demo for this game a while back, possibly in February, and didn't have any issues. The demo now, however, does give the same performance problem.

I'm on the most recent drivers.

Thanks,

plat

Hello platinum-192,

Thank you for posting on Intel Community Forum.

To address the issue effectively, please share the information below.

1. Is the issue isolated to Frogmonster?

2. Which game distribution platform is being used? (Steam, Epic Games, etc.)

3. Is ReBar enabled?

4. Does the performance issue occur immediately or develop over time?

5. Kindly provide CapFrame data for us to analyze the performance and compare the values on our end. Kindly ensure that you play the game for at least 5 minutes.

Additionally, to have a better understanding of your system configuration and components please generate a complete copy of the System Support Utility (SSU) report. Please follow instructions here and send the report - How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*

I look forward to your response.

Best regards

Hello,

Thanks for the swift response.

Frogmonster is the only game I currently have any issues with and I've never had an issue like this before.

The platform being used is Steam.

ReBar is enabled.

The performance issue is immediate, right from launch.

I have recorded the issue via CapFameX, but the guide provided says to export as JSON file and the file upload on this forum says that JSON is not supported. What can I do?

I've provided an SSU report.

Thanks,

plat

Hello platinum-192,

Thank you so much for sharing all this information, it’s greatly appreciated. If you’re having trouble attaching the CapFrameX file here, you can upload it to Google Drive and share the link with me instead. To help us troubleshoot the issue more effectively, please also follow the steps outlined below.

1. Update the BIOS to the latest version 7D28v1N

2. Perform a clean installation of the latest driver 32.0.101.8250 using DDU

If the issue continues, could you confirm whether the game was functioning properly before the problem started? Additionally, it would be very helpful if you could share the exact game settings you’re using. This information will allow is to replicate the issue if necessary.

Best regards
