Arc b580 - path of Exile 1 patch crashes instantly when using Vulkan

Hello,

First off game has been played the last few patches in vulkan perfectly fine. When patch 3.27 came out whenever I encountered the new breach mechanic the game would lag and crash instantly. After messing around I got working for 5 minutes, but the game still crashed the same way eventually. Now when in vulkan the game will not even start. Directx12 is playable, however, it drops to 5 fps in very complex situations on the screen, mobs and lights of 100 plus. I also noticed for some reason that my music would make the game stutter I do not know if this is related or not but just found it worth mentioning. Would love to get this sorted out its been very annoying with the new league, just let me know what I need to do. Thanks so much!

Hello TweaK404,

Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.

For me to better understand and diagnose the issue further, let me ask you to provide detailed responses to the following questions. This information will help me isolate the problem and determine the most appropriate course of action moving forward.

  1. Was it working fine before the patch?
  2. Are you having issues with other games also after the patch?
  3. What are the troubleshooting steps that you tried?
  4. What is your game launcher?

If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.

Last patch this was not an issue and Vulcan ran perfect. No they card has done really well.

I play many different games including rust and battlefield 6 perfectly fine.

I've done many different thing in settings within poe and the intel graphics software. I've tried changing game mode, display settings, power options.

I've monitored event viewer to see what happens and always no real error. I see other people on the poe forums have the same issue as me using the arc cards.

I am using steam to launch.

Whats next?

Hello TweaK404,

Thank you for the update.

I reviewed the patch 3.27 and this is from the game developer. Since everything was working fine before the patch, meaning there is no issue with the current drivers. Have you tried reporting this issue to the game developer for them to check if the patch?

If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.

There's a few threads on the poe forum but it's just getting bumped by users everyday they have yet to do or say anything about the issue. It's still not fixed, and im still laggin a lot on dx12

Hello TweaK404,

Thank you for the update.

I understand, I think it would be best to report it to the game developer directly since the issue is caused by the patch. Everything is working well before the patch and now other users are reporting it too.

If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.
