Hello 小粉熊 ,

Thank you for posting on the Intel Community forum. I want to help you isolate the exact cause of the screen flicker and determine the correct next steps for your Arc A770.

Could you please provide a few more details and try the following steps?

1. Connection Clarification: Regarding your note that the HDMI links have no problem, could you clarify if the screen flickering is currently happening while you are connected via HDMI? If so, have you tried using a DisplayPort connection to see if the issue is isolated to just the HDMI port or cable?

2. Clean Driver Installation: When you rolled back from driver 8826 to 8801, did you use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) in Safe Mode? Leftover files from the newer driver can sometimes cause bugs to persist.

3. Monitor Settings: What is the exact make and model of your monitor? Additionally, does the flickering stop if you lower the refresh rate to 60Hz or disable Variable Refresh Rate (VRR / Adaptive Sync) in the monitor's built-in menu or the Intel Graphics Software?

4. BIOS Test: Does the screen flicker outside of Windows? For example, if you restart your computer and enter the motherboard BIOS menu, does the flickering still happen?

5. Hardware Seating: Have you tried powering down the system, reseating the Arc A770 in the primary PCIe slot, and ensuring both the 8-pin and 6-pin power cables are securely clicked in?

Once I have this diagnostic information, I can advise on the best way to proceed, look for potential software conflicts, or determine if we need to explore hardware replacement options.

Best Regards,

LohithG.

Hello 小粉熊 ,

Thank you for the update. I am glad to hear that using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) in Safe Mode and rolling back to version 8801 completely resolved the flickering. This is excellent news, as it confirms your Arc A770 hardware is healthy.

Before I definitively conclude that the 32.0.101.8826 (WHQL Certified) driver contains a bug, it is possible the original issue was simply caused by a corrupted installation or a conflict with older driver files.

Could you please run DDU in Safe Mode once more to clear the system, and then perform a clean installation of the 32.0.101.8826 (WHQL Certified) driver? If the screen flickering returns after a clean installation, I will have the exact evidence needed to escalate this as a verified driver bug.

Let me know your results when you have a moment to test it.

Best Regards,

LohithG.

ok,this time i clean driver 8801 with DDU and install driver 8826 again,  at least more than 3-4 days or a week, wait it would happen or not.   8826 does't  go wrong  FOR NOW after restart.

First time i installed driver 8826 is in windows 11 desktop mode,  generally downloaded 8826.exe and update, I may be ticked the option "fresh install" ,finally the screen keeps flickering after restart windows, this update way may be is the most users follow, if they use DDU in every simgle update, it wouldn't be a convenient  ? So most of user update it as usual, May the driver  8826's BUG  exists.

Hi 小粉熊 ,

Thank you for the update. I am glad to hear that using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) in Safe Mode successfully resolved the screen flickering issue and that driver 32.0.101.8826 is now running stably on your Arc A770.

You make a completely valid point regarding the built-in "Clean Installation" option. For a seamless experience, standard users should be able to rely on the official installer's clean install feature without needing to boot into Safe Mode or use third-party tools to clear out conflicting registry files from older drivers. I am officially documenting your experience and forwarding this feedback to our concerned team. Highlighting the specific discrepancy between the native installer's cleanup logic and DDU's success rate is incredibly helpful.

This kind of real-world user feedback is exactly what helps us refine the installer package for future driver releases.

Please continue to monitor the system over the next week as you planned. If the flickering returns or if you encounter any other anomalies, just reply to this thread and we will investigate further.

Thank you for choosing Intel.

Hi sigy30,

I hope you are doing well.

I wanted to follow up regarding your experience after reinstalling driver version 32.0.101.8826 using DDU. Based on your last update, the system appeared stable after the clean installation, which is a positive sign.

Could you please confirm if the screen flickering issue has resurfaced over the past few days, or if the system has remained stable?

Additionally, thank you once again for taking the time to share your feedback regarding the installation experience. You make a very valid point most users would typically rely on the standard installer and its “clean installation” option rather than using DDU for every update.

Please be assured that your feedback has been documented and shared with the relevant team, as insights like yours are valuable in helping us improve the overall driver installation experience.

If the issue has not reoccurred, I will proceed with closing the thread from my end. However, if the issue returns or if you require further assistance, please feel free to create a new thread, and we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you again for your time and for choosing Intel.

Best regards,
