Intel Arc B580 Graphics Card Random Freezing Issue

Following on from a recent post with a similar issue but I am also experiencing the same issue.

I'm currently on drivers 32.0.101.8425 and it has occurred twice so far. Once on Monday while playing a game and today while watching a video via Firefox.

With both my freezes, audio would still be playing, volume control would still work from keyboard and mouse curser can be seen moving around/across both the screens.

Not done any testing yet because I have only had this card for about 11 days so far after replacing my AMD rx590.

Thanks

Hey there, I have a B580 as well, and I experienced a similar problem with driver 8425. I suggest you roll back to driver version 32.0.101.8331, many people are experiencing problems with the new drivers, so try using DDU to fully uninstall the current drivers, and install version 32.0.101.8331 (the one before the new 8425 drivers), and see if that solves your problem.

Hi Again,

So I have not got around to downgrading the drivers yet but I did just try updating to the new released: 32.0.101.8531. Update went fine and after turning it back on from the shut down, it only ran a few mins before my graphics then frozen again.

Its definitely an image/graphics freeze issue, as at the time I was only browning this forum then it froze with nothing else running.

If I moved the cursor around my frozen screens, the arrow would change (slowly) to a finger icon as to be able to click on a link on the page. After the clicking the link, nothing changed on the display and I was unable to get the finger icon again.

After a force reboot, and doing a chrome tab recovery, I can see that the click did work as the recovered page changed to the Intel "Support Community" page
