Hello dear Intel Community and Intel Co Workers. I am writing this List in order to bring up a wishlist of features and software adjustments for Intel Arc GPUs. it took quite a little while to gather up the informations and ask the people in certain communities. But now here I am with the summory of this List.
1. Recording and Streaming Features
Integrated recording function within the driver (similar to Shadowplay/ReLive)
- Reliable hotkeys for instant recording
- Improved OBS compatibility and encoding quality
- More stable video recording, similar to early Arc drivers
- Optional AI-powered microphone noise suppression and background removal
2. RGB Control within the Intel Driver
- Native control of GPU RGB lighting without third-party software
3. Monitoring and Overlay Improvements
- Integrated overlay for FPS, temperatures, utilization, and frame times
- Easy activation via keyboard shortcut
- Expanded driver options for frame limiters and performance profiles
- More stable and accurate metrics display in IGS
4. VR Support
- Official SteamVR compatibility
- Improved latency and stability for VR streaming (ALVR, etc.)
5. Graphics API Optimizations
- Significant improvements to OpenGL performance
- Further optimizations for Vulkan titles
- Better compatibility for older games and engines (DX9, OpenGL)
6. XeSS Improvements
- Driver-side XeSS overrides (similar to DLSS version overrides on Nvidia)
- More stable implementation in games and tools
7. Revival of Older Intel Technologies
- Return of Intel Deep Link (ideally open source)
- Return of Intel Cryo Cooling for supported systems
- Return of Intel Video Recording Features
8. Improved Driver Software (IGS)
- Per-game color profiles
- More stable user interface
- Granular overclocking options (voltage, power limit, fan curves)
- Better integration of PresentMon into the driver
9. Recording and Media Features
- Improved AV1 and HEVC encoding performance
- More stable multi-stream encoding capabilities
- Optimized hardware acceleration for streaming services
10. Linux Improvements
- More Consistent Vulkan Performance
- Improved OpenGL Translation Layers
- Full XeSS Hardware Utilization on Linux
11. Multi-GPU Compute Support
- Parallel utilization of multiple Arc GPUs for AI inference, video processing, or batch rendering
- OpenVINO Multi-Device Scheduling
- DX12/Vulkan Explicit Multi-Adapter Profile
- Dual GPU Gaming Support as a driver option, where the two GPUs utilize the Game as it works with the Application named LossLess Scaling
12. Improved Shader Compilation
- Faster pipeline compilation
- Reduced shader stuttering in new games
- Persistent per-game shader caches
13. More Stable Display Features
- Improved DP handshake stability
- Faster wake-up detection
- Fixes for black screen issues following restarts
14. Enhanced AI Acceleration
- Optimized DirectML performance
- Vulkan compute backend for AI workloads
- Improved ONNX Runtime integration
15. Better Power Management
- Lower idle power consumption
- Improved multi-monitor idle states
- Adaptive power states for video playback
16. Overclocking and Tweaking
- Options to choose in the Software for GPU Performance tweaking
- Limitations and goal options
I hope the mentioned things in the list are duable and addible to the main Intel Arc Graphis Software. All of this would give Intel Arc a new meaning, especially the Dual / Multi GPU Part.
