When I launch Overwatch, the frame rate stays unusually low for about 10 minutes, then it suddenly jumps back to normal performance. It feels exactly like a car’s cold start on a winter morning – it takes a while to warm up.
Could you please look into this and fix it when you have a moment? Thanks!

Hello samiraise,
Thank you for posting your query on the Intel Community Forum!
I understand that you are experiencing unusually low frame rates when launching Overwatch and that performance returns to normal after approximately 10 minutes. I appreciate you bringing this behavior to our attention.
To help us investigate the issue further, could you please provide the following information:
- When did you first notice this issue? Did it start after a recent graphics driver update, game update, or Windows update?
- Does this behavior occur every time you launch Overwatch, or only occasionally?
- Approximately what FPS do you observe during the first 10 minutes, and what FPS does it stabilize at afterward?
- Have you tried performing a clean installation of the graphics driver? If so, please let us know the outcome.
- Could you provide a short video or screenshots showing the FPS behavior when the issue occurs, including both the initial low-performance period and the point at which performance returns to normal?
- Share your current in-game video/graphics settings (screenshots) for further analysis.
- Kindly let us know the source from which the game was downloaded. If available, kindly provide the download link.
- Kindly share the game version/build number currently installed on your system.
- Please provide an Intel® System Support Utility (SSU) report to help us better understand your system configuration.
- You can download the SSU tool using the link below:
- How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*
- Please note: While generating the SSU report, kindly uncheck the "Networking" option.
Additionally, we kindly request that you capture and share three separate CapFrameX logs by following the steps below:
1. Launch CapFrameX.
2. Go to the Capture tab.
3. Under the Recording section:
Set a capture hotkey and set capture time to 300 sec(5mins)
4. Launch the game or application you want to test.
5. Once you are in the area where the issue occurs
6. Start capturing the log by pressing the hotkey configured to capture
7. Play for 5mins, the capture will auto stop after 5mins
8. By default, captures are stored under "Documents\CapFrameX\Captures" , please share the logs from the location and make sure to rename the files after every capture/ game run
We kindly request three separate captures.
After each iteration, please rename the capture file in the
Documents\CapFrameX\Captures folder (for example: Iteration_1, Iteration_2, Iteration_3) before starting the next recording. This helps us clearly distinguish each test run.
Once all the requested information and capture logs have been collected, please share them with us for review. We will analyze the details and continue our investigation accordingly to determine the appropriate next steps.
Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to your response.
Best regards,
CM

Hello samiraise,
I hope you are doing well.
I am following up regarding the low FPS issue you reported in Overwatch, where performance is significantly reduced during the first few minutes after launching the game and then returns to normal after approximately 10 minutes.
We wanted to check if you have had an opportunity to gather the information and logs requested in our previous email.
Additionally, if you have not yet done so, please provide the three CapFrameX capture logs requested previously. These logs will help us analyze the system behavior during the period of reduced performance and compare results across multiple game launches.
Once we receive the requested information and logs, we will review the data and continue our investigation.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience. We look forward to your response.
Best regards,
Ramgound

That's a strange one. It almost sounds like something isn't kicking in properly until the game has been running for a while. Hopefully they can figure out what's causing it, because waiting 10 minutes every time would get annoying fast.
