Intel Graphics Software will not open/Tuning Tab missing

This issue existed before but seems to have gotten worse after the latest driver update.

In short: I am unable to open the Intel Graphics Software. Uninstalling and reinstalling it will solve the issue temporarily but it'll reappear upon the next restart.

Checking in the event viewer shows the following errors:

I can temporarily get the app to work again by
- Shutting down the IntelGraphicsSoftware.service with task manager

However the Tuning tab will go missing after doing this.

Hello all,

Our most recent driver, 32.0.101.6651 (find the link below) comes with a new version of IGS, 25.8.1206.1.

This version should include a fix for this issue. Could you please check on your side if this is still happening?

This does now seem to be resolved. The Tuning tab is always available and the software loads every time, at least for now!  

However, i am realizing now that due to my fairly standard Ryzen 5 7600X CPU, this GPU is performing WAY WAY WAY lower than I imagined it would. I am swapping it out for my 3060 Ti until something changes. 

I will end up selling the B580 or possibly using to transcode in my Plex box. As a gaming GPU, it kind of sucks right now.

This if offtopic but the Ryzen 7600X is capable enough to not be noticably affected by the driver overhead issue. The issue only really starts being noticable on CPUs like 5600X and lower. You will see worse performance with the 3060 Ti but you do you.

You might be right. I wish I had the time for full testing. I am playing MSFS 2024 and I thought the 3060 was perforning better in it than the 580, but it appears they are nearly on-par. You know it could be that this game is just broken lol

I did do the swap and I am not seeing as much as an increase as I thought I would, and actually the 3060 Ti isn't doing as well with 1440 output as I thought. DLAA seems to look a little better than TAA, but I get blackouts and quite a bit of strangeness with the 3060 that I didn't get with the b580.
