More crashes in Street Fighter 6 (Steam)

I posted this thread in March 2025: https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-ARC-Graphics/Crashes-in-Street-Fighter-6-Steam/m-p/1673100

I'm now experiencing the same issue. The driver version is 32.0.101.8247. Last time the issue seemed to be fixed with a clean install of driver version 6647, but I've done clean installs of every version since that. It's the most recent game version on Steam. My graphics card is  the B650 AORUS Elite AX ICE, and it's the only card I've ever used on this PC.

This has happened twice recently. I've attached the Intel SSU report from today's crash, and the Steam crash logs from a previous crash on October 21, 2025.

Hi sleepingtoads,

Thank you for posting in our Community, and for sharing these details, along with the SSU report and crash logs. I appreciate your continued patience as we look into this further. Since the issue has resurfaced with driver version 32.0.101.8247, I’d like to gather a few additional details to help us better pinpoint the cause:

  • Could you confirm the exact version of Street Fighter 6 currently installed, and whether you’re using DirectX 12 or another API (if selectable)?
  • Are you running the game on default settings, or are there any custom graphics or performance adjustments applied (such as ray tracing, V-Sync, or frame limiters)?
  • Does the crash occur during startup, in menus, or mid-gameplay? Any specific modes (e.g., World Tour, Online Battle) where it happens more often?
  • After the last crash, have you tried performing another clean installation of the latest Intel Graphics driver using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) in Safe Mode, just to ensure all previous driver traces were removed?

Have a nice day!

Thank you, answers below.

  • The game version is 2.0100.001. I'm using DirectX 12 and I don't think this is selectable.
  • I'm running the game at 1440p at the highest visual settings. I have V Sync on and limited the frame rate to 60.
  • I've only ever experienced it during gameplay or in cutscenes after a match, never in menus. The last crash happened after a match in arcade mode, and the previous crash happened in training mode while performing a move.
  • No, I perform clean installs using the Intel Driver and Support Assistant but not in Safe Mode.

Hello sleepingtoads,

Thank you so much for the detailed information. I truly appreciate the time you’ve taken to provide these specifics about your setup and game environment. It’s good to know that the crashes only occur during gameplay or cutscenes and not in the menus, as that gives us a clearer picture of where the issue is happening. The confirmation that you’re using DirectX 12 and running the game at 1440p with V-Sync enabled and a 60 FPS limit is also valuable.

I will need to conduct additional research on this issue and post an update in this thread once I have more information.

Hello sleepingtoads,

Thank you for your patience. To proceed with the investigation, I would like to confirm a few details regarding your graphics issue:

  • Did you previously use a different graphics adapter before encountering this issue?
  • Could you please provide the exact steps to replicate the issue so we can further investigate this?
  • Kindly share a screenshot showing the full game settings where the issue occurs.
  • Have you already performed a clean driver uninstall using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU)? If not, please perform a DDU and refer to How to Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to Uninstall a Graphics Driver

If the issue persists after using the DDU, please install the latest graphics version, 32.0.101.8247.

Once these details are complete, I will conduct further investigation.

Best regards,

I’m sorry, I missed your last message. I haven’t made any changes to the graphics card, this is a relatively new PC build and the Arc card is the only one I’ve ever installed in it. I’ll try to get a screenshot later today, though last time I played the game it didn’t happen.

I’m not sure what the exact steps to replicate it are because it happens at different times. It happens most frequently when I play in story mode and lose a match, then try to continue from the countdown screen. It’s also happened less frequently in the middle of a match or in training mode.

I’m already using driver version 8247, and I’ve only done clean installs of driver updates since my last ticket in March of this year. Thank you.

Hello sleepingtoads,

Thank you for your detailed reply and for clarifying these points. I understand that the issue occurs intermittently, often in story mode after losing a match, and sometimes during training or mid-match. That context is useful for reproducing the problem on our end. I’ll continue investigating based on the information you’ve shared and keep you updated with the next steps. If you notice any new patterns or additional details about when the issue occurs, please let me know. Every detail helps us get closer to a solution.

Whenever possible, please provide a screenshot of your full game settings, as it will help us verify any potential configuration factors.

Moreover, when I mention the “exact steps to replicate the issue,” I’m looking for a clear sequence of actions that typically trigger the problem. This could include the game mode you select, the actions you take leading up to the freeze, or specific conditions, such as losing a match or using certain settings, that tend to make it occur. Even if the issue doesn’t happen every time, sharing the most consistent patterns you’ve observed will help us reproduce it and pinpoint the root cause more effectively. Any details, no matter how small, like menu navigation, in-game actions, or the timing of the freeze, are extremely helpful.

Thank you again for your time and cooperation.

Yes, and I just experienced the crash again. Steam crash report attached. Prior to this crash, I performed a clean install of driver version 32.0.101.8250, which is the latest available.

I took screenshots of the graphics settings I was using. Basically I have everything turned up to high except the maximum framerate, which I capped at 60. This usually happens in Fighting Ground modes, which I believe is capped at 60 regardless of that setting.

This time I booted the game and claimed a Drive Ticket reward, then immediately selected Fighting Ground. I went into Arcade -> Story, then selected Kimberly. I also attached 2 screenshots of the story mode settings selected. I won the first match against Luke in 3 rounds, then won the first round of the second match against Guile. The crash occurred as I was attacking during round 2.

Updating because I just experienced a crash in World Tour mode for the first time. The previous crashes all happened in Fighting Ground. I played for about 45 minutes in Sagat and C. Viper's missions, and the crash occurred just as I was beginning a fight with M. Bison. This time, the audio continued playing and it seemed like I was in the fight for a couple of minutes, but the video froze and I couldn't progress. Crash report attached.

Hello sleepingtoads,

Thanks for the update, and I appreciate you sharing the additional crash report. I went ahead and ran extended tests on my end using the latest driver 32.0.101.8250, completing 12 matches in Arcade mode along with several retries, and I wasn’t able to reproduce the crash. To give you full visibility, here’s a video capture of my test session: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9bP5N1beEY

In the meantime, please try the following steps, as they’ve helped in similar cases:

  • Adjust your graphics settings and test with V-Sync disabled.
  • If the behavior persists, reinstalling the game is a solid next step to rule out corrupted files.

Once you’ve tested these, feel free to send any new observations or crash logs. I’ll keep digging until we land on a definitive fix
