The new driver causes previously absent artifacts in Windows environment when memory speed (B580) is increased to 20Gbps. Also resulted in crashing application Outlook and locking of mouse cursor. Seems to be fixed when memory speed returned to default 19Gbps. Was stable prior at 20Gbps for all of 2025 through general OS use and gaming.

Hello Gururu,
Thank you for posting on Intel Community Forum.
To address the issue effectively, please share the information below.
1. What was the previous driver version that worked stable at 20Gbps memory?
2. Did you perform a clean driver installation using DDU?
3. Is Outlook the only application crashing, or are other applications affected?
4. Does Outlook crash immediately on launch or during specific operations?
5. What tool are you using to overclock the memory?
6. Kindly share a short video clip demonstrating the issue.
Additionally, to have a better understanding of your system configuration and components please generate a complete copy of the System Support Utility (SSU) report. Please follow instructions here and send the report - How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*
I look forward to your response.
Best regards

Hello and thank you!
What was the previous driver version that worked stable at 20Gbps memory?
32.0.101.8250
Did you perform a clean driver installation using DDU?
No, just selected clean execution of the new driver when prompted through Intel Driver & Support Assistant.
Is Outlook the only application crashing, or are other applications affected?
Outlook doesn’t seem to crash anymore but Diablo 4 has severe anomalies and artifacts. I have seen two infrequent error notifications. One says that the memory has run out, and another says that the game interface or something could not be loaded.
Does Outlook crash immediately on launch or during specific operations?
It was immediately a couple times right after driver install.
What tool are you using to overclock the memory?
Intel Graphics Software performance tuning feature.
Kindly share a short video clip demonstrating the issue.
Additionally, to have a better understanding of your system configuration and components please generate a complete copy of the System Support Utility (SSU) report.

Hello Gururu,
Thank you for sharing all this information. To help us troubleshoot further, could you please perform a clean installation using DDU and install the latest driver version 32.0.101.8331?
I also reviewed the video clip you attached, and we weren’t able to observe the artifacts you mentioned. Are you able to share a more detailed video clip wherein the artifacts are noticeable?
Additionally, it would be very helpful if you could share a screenshot of the error messages you encountered along with the Event Viewer logs. Having these details will greatly assist us in moving the investigation forward.
I look forward to your response.
Best regards

Its alright, I can live with it at default memory. Chances are that the next update will probably fix it. I am sorry that you could not see the artifacts in the video. During the first load screen, the right side shows loss of image and the second load page doesn't show the image at all. On the character screen, you can see large pink and green blotches right before I exit. If I let it go any further it crashes. Took me like ten attempts to capture that because it crashed and the video doesn't save. At default setting (second half of video), none of the graphics problems happens and it crashes.
Sorry again, default works and the errors are hard to show so I will live with it and chalk it up to overclocking instability.

Hi @Gururu,
I am investigating the VRAM tuning issues you’re experiencing with Diablo IV. I will provide an update as soon as I have more information.

Thank you. I haven't tried to take it back to 20Gbps but at the default 19Gbps I have not had a single issue so on my system totally stable.

I can confirm that raising the memory speed doesn't work with driver v8331.
I was hoping for another driver release before the end of the year to check if it has been corrected.
I've been using my B580 for a year through every driver at a stable 20Gbps. Raising the memory speed by any amount causes problems from artifacts to freezes and system crashes.

Only for information, the VRAM chips in B580´s are rated to 20gbps.

Hi @Gururu and @PKD-NeXuS,
I have successfully reproduced the issue and am currently performing a deep dive to resolve it. I will provide an update as soon as possible.
Note @Botijo: To clarify, the Intel Arc B580 has a rated memory speed of 19 Gbps, though it supports up to 22 Gbps via overclocking.
