Pragmata running bad on Intel Arc A series cards

Hi there, today press rolled out benchmarks of the game Pragmata in a long range of card, one of those are the A770 which it performs really bad, not even getting 40fps at max settings where the competence reaches 60fps+, its a shame since Pragmata its a really anticipated game and it blows my mind that Intel didnt think about it like you did with RE Requiem

I was worried about it since the demo didnt run well aswell and there were no driver update to support the game, so will there be a driver update to support the game like the one released to support RE Requiem?

Btw I think Monster Hunter Stories 3 is in the same situacion, with no driver support and the demo of it runs poorly aswell

Thanks for reading and I hope you can address this problem as soon as possible

Hi Matertorneo,
Thank you for posting in our Community. I completely understand your concern, and I appreciate the comparison you made with previous optimizations, such as those released for Resident Evil Requiem, and your feedback regarding Monster Hunter Stories 3 as well. Insights like yours are very valuable in helping me identify titles that may benefit from further driver optimizations. While I don’t have confirmation yet on a specific driver release for these games, I can certainly help gather more details and further check it. To better understand and investigate the issue, could you please help confirm the following:

  • What resolution and graphics settings are you running in Pragmata?
  • Are you experiencing consistent low FPS, or are there also stutters, crashes, or graphical issues?
  • Have you tried adjusting settings such as XeSS, ray tracing, or switching between DX11/DX12 (if available)?
  • For comparison, how does the performance look in other recent games on your system?
  • Could you please provide CapFrameX data for this game? This will allow me to analyze performance metrics in more detail and identify any potential issues. Ideally, please share a CapFrameX file that includes at least 2-5 minutes of gameplay.

I'd like to delve deeper and verify specifics like the graphics models, precise driver versions, and any system errors. Utilizing the Intel SSU tool will enable me to collect detailed information about your system setup, which could aid in identifying the underlying cause of this issue. Additionally, if you have done any other tests, please let me know the details so we don't cover the same ground twice.

Have a nice day!

Hi there, thanks for responding as fast as possible, sadly the game with the current drivers installed is a mess

I tried to do the CapFrameX thing but the game crashes in a certain point at the beginning of the game, anyways it would be unnecessary because the game runs at 30-40fps no matter what settings I use

I tried playing it even in the lowest settings possible and still can get 60fps even so it still crashes in that part of the game, but for reference I played at 1080p native equilibrated preset but as I said, the game runs poorly whenever the settings you use and it still crashes in that particular point of the game, you can test it by yourself and I can ensure you that the results will be the same

For reference I was using an A750, 32gb of ram, Ryzen 5 5500x3D and the game is installed in a ssd

It really needs a driver update as soon as possible because right now its basically unplayable and its not fair that Intel Arc users cant play the newest capcom games properly the day those games launches, so please solve this issue as soon as possible

I attached what I could gather from my testing, it contains screenshots from my playthrough and the message that appairs when the game crashes (game is in spanish btw)

Thanks for reading and hope you can help me

You're right—my problem is even worse. When I'm using a B580 graphics card with the latest drivers installed, the game crashes on the loading screen.
The funny thing is, I didn't have this problem with the previous driver version. It's all my fault for going and updating to the latest version.

Hi Matertorneo,

Thank you for the quick reply.

Please try to install the latest driver using DDU method and update this thread if there will be changes.

Kindly refer to the link below for the steps and the direct link of the latest driver:

Update: I managed to run it by deleting shader cache and config inside the game files, now the game dont crash on that hall which is an improvement but it still runs pretty bad at 40-50 fps (it is even worse with raytracing on)

Hope you can make the same thing like you did with RE Requiem that a driver update improved up to 50% performance in the A series card

It is a well recived update but it still lacks on the performance side of things so please address this issue since the game should run at 60fps even with raytracing on if we compare the competence

Thanks for reading and hope you keep polishing this game as quick as possible (btw I haven't get a reply on my other post about RE Requiem performance)

Hi Matertorneo,

Thank you for the quick reply and trying our last recommendation.

For me to review the hardware and the driver installed, please help generate the SSU logs of your system. Kindly refer to the link below for the steps:

Hi again

Heres the ssu log you need, btw the framerate drops always occurs in open areas like the new york recreation in the second zone or at the end of the first area, that kind of behavior happened in RE Requiem too

Hello Matertorneo,

Thanks for your patience. I performed a simulation test with approximately 15 minutes of gameplay, and we’re glad to share that no errors or crashes were encountered during this time. To help me further investigate and better understand the behavior on your end, could you please provide a few additional details:

  • Are there any specific scenarios or conditions where the issue typically occurs?
  • Could you share your current in-game settings (e.g., graphics quality, resolution, and other relevant configurations)?

Crashes issues were already solved in driver 32.0.101.8724 as I already said it weeks ago...

The real problem is the performance of the game which is awfull, test any wide open part of the game or a boss fight and it will run at 40fps or less no matter what settings do you use, the best example of this is the new york zone in chapter 2, from there onwards the game doesnt hit 60fps and it only stands at 30-50fps with any settings do you use (like RE Requiem but in this case it is even worse) turning raytracing just will make it worse. Please look at it

Hello Matertorneo,

Thank you for the detailed explanation and for highlighting the specific in-game areas where the performance drops occur, especially the wide open zones, boss fights, and the New York section in Chapter 2. That context is very helpful for understanding the behavior you’re seeing.

To continue the investigation on the performance side, I would just like to gather a bit more information about your current configuration so we can properly compare expected vs. observed behavior:

  • What is your current in-game resolution (e.g., 1080p, 1440p, 4K)?
  • Which graphics preset are you using (Low / Medium / High / Ultra or custom)?
  • Is ray tracing enabled, and if yes, which level?
  • Are you using any upscaling technology (such as XeSS or similar), and if so, at what setting?
  • Are V-Sync, frame caps, or dynamic resolution enabled?

Even if the performance is consistently low across settings, having these details will help us confirm whether this is a scaling/optimization limitation or something that requires deeper driver-side analysis.

Hi

-I played at 1080p

-I used high settings

-No I didnt enable raytracing

-No I didnt use upscaling

-I used Vsync from Intel Graphics Software but I disabled it in the game

Hope this info help you out but as I said before, it really doesnt matter what settings did I use since the game runs pretty bad at any settings

Hello Matertorneo,

Thank you for your patience. Upon reviewing the information shared, I noticed that two separate concerns were reported for the same game:

  • FPS/performance issue
  • Crashing issue

To ensure I can provide the most accurate troubleshooting and focused support, I kindly ask that we work on one issue at a time for each game. With that said, could you please confirm which issue you would like me to focus on first?

  • FPS/performance concern
    or
  • Game crashing concern

Please let me know so I can continue with the appropriate troubleshooting steps and recommendations for that specific concern.

Hello Matertorneo,

Thank you for confirming that the focus is on FPS and performance. Since this is performance-related, I will need to proceed with a more detailed analysis. To help ensure accurate evaluation, could you please provide the following:

  • Three sample using CapFrameX
  • Make sure the tests are done using the latest driver version
  • Please include the same gameplay scenario or benchmark conditions for consistency

Once I have the samples, I’ll be able to review the performance behavior more effectively and continue the investigation.

Thanks.
