Question about the new driver

My card is an Intel Arc B580 Challenger 12GB OC. I installed the latest driver 32.0.101.8331 WHQL. The first time an error popped up during installation, the second time the screen went off and did not turn on. After rebooting, I used DDU and managed to install the driver. Everything is working fine, but the fans won't stop now, even though they weren't working in idle mode before. The idle temperature was 50-60, now it has dropped to 36. Does the latest driver make any changes to the operation of the fans? I read that it also affects VBIOS, is it related to this?

I noticed another thing. Under load (in-game), when the temperature rises to 40 degrees Celsius, the fans stop working. This continues until the temperature drops to 50 degrees Celsius. Then, the fan runs at a light load of 300-700 RPM, continuing this pattern until almost 60 degrees Celsius, where it runs at 900-1000 RPM. Meanwhile, at idle, at 32-36 degrees Celsius, it runs at 1000-1100 RPM. So, the fans work up to 40 degrees Celsius, but stop between 40 and 50 degrees Celsius. Is this normal?

Hi  AlexSav,

Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum. To assist us in investigating the issue, please provide the following details:

  • Can you share the error message that popped up after installing the Driver version 32.0.101.8331 WHQL?
  • Does the temperature rises to 40 degree Celsius when you are playing a specific game or all of your games/apps?
  • Other than performing DDU, may I know what other troubleshooting steps was taken to attempt to resolve the issue?
  • May I know what application you are using to monitor the temperature of your Arc B580?

Additionally, Please help generate the SSU logs of your system. Kindly refer to the link below on how to generate the logs:
