Hello Joadix100,

Thank you for reaching out through the Intel Community.

I understand how frustrating it can be to encounter issues while trying to play Rainbow Six Siege, and I’ll do my best to help you get this sorted out. To better understand the situation, could you please provide a bit more information:

  • Was the game working properly before?
  • Are you using a laptop or a desktop system?
  • Are you using integrated graphics (iGPU) or a dedicated graphics card (dGPU)?
  • Where did you download the game from?
  • Does the issue only occur with Rainbow Six Siege, or does it happen with other games as well?

Once I have this information, I’ll be able to suggest the next steps.

Regards,

Hello JohnM

Here is the answer to your questions:

  • Yes, the game was opening and running normally before, i had two very busy weeks so i stopped playing, one or maybe two Intel drivers came and then when i opened it it crashed.
  • This is a desktop system, i built it myself and it works perfectly fine. It is able to run many games without any issues, and it ran Rainbow Six Siege for years.
  • i am using an Intel Arc A770 16GB Limited Edition dGPU
  • i downloaded the game from Steam, where i have it purchased
  • I didnt play many games recently but i can confirm Floating Sandbox, Minecraft (Bedrock), Garry's Mod and The Long Drive run normally without issues, it only happens with Rainbow Six Siege.

I hope this information is useful.

Hello Joadix100,

Thank you for providing the requested information.

To properly isolate the issue, I highly recommend following the steps outlined in the article: Clean Installation of Intel® Graphics Drivers in Windows*.

Additionally, upon review, it appears that you are currently using an older driver version. It would be best to update to the latest available version, Intel® Arc™ Graphics - Windows*, to ensure optimal performance and stability.

Once you have completed the steps, please let me know if the issue still persists so we can continue working towards a resolution.

Hi JohnM,

I could do it but i think it would be of no help since the drivers i am using were installed cleanly TWICE (the second time was to check if that solved this very issue), i ran a Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) and then installed the LATEST Drivers, version 32.0.101.8735, and of course this did not solve the issue, maybe you saw that i also have an older driver installed, 32.0.101.7085, that driver belongs to the Intel UHD 750 iGPU that my i7-11700 has integrated and they are the LATEST for that iGPU since it is on legacy support now and does not have regular updates like the Intel Arc A770. Also to rule this out, i am connected to the HDMI on the Intel Arc A770, NOT to the Motherboard (Intel UHD 750).

Hello Joadix100,

Thank you for letting me know that you have already tried using DDU, but the issue is still not resolved.

With that in mind, before I proceed with replication, kindly provide the following information:

  • A video showing you attempting to access the game until the error message appears
  • If possible, a screenshot of your full in-game settings
  • The latest SSU (System Support Utility) report

Once the above information is received, I will proceed with replication and further investigation.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Hi JohnM

i recorded a video from when i start the game from steam to when it crashes, also i did another Intel SSU and it is attached
About the In-Game settings, i cannot open the game to show them to you, however i can assure you that they were mostly on High or even Ultra, native resolution (1080p) and V-Sync was ON, the game had been running fine (most of the time at 144FPS since it was capped by the monitor and didnt drop below 100FPS) with these settings until this started to happen, but the settings are not an issue since the game did run previously with them as i said.

Hello Joadix100,

Thank you for your patience. I’ve completed the replication on my end, and we’ll need to perform a few steps to help isolate and resolve the issue.

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Update your BIOS to the latest version, as the current version is outdated. You can download and install version 7D07vAB2 from the MPG Z590 GAMING PLUS.
  2. Update your drivers to the latest version: Intel® Arc™ Graphics - Windows*. Please perform a clean installation, including using the DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) method.
  3. Generate a kernel or complete crash dump - Windows Client | Microsoft Learn for further analysis.

Once you’ve completed the first two steps, please let me know if they help in isolating the issue.

Regards,
